Well, it's always the peak office hours that is significant. Same goes for other lines like the NE line.

So it's a matter of luck if you get a seat at Woodlands during peak office hours? I suppose Bishan will be the next big 'get off' 'get on' stop.

I think it's a matter of luck. There are also a lot of people alighting at Wdls station so if you're fast enough and you happen to be standing at the right cabin, you could get a seat.

When I used to work at Suntec, I got sick of the morning rush I ended up paying for those office 'school bus'. $110/mth and sends you right to your office building and guaranteed a seat. Alot of office folks staying in the north do this.

The Marsiling plot in this May BTO is along the road where there is only one feeder service 913. On days where it's raining, you might not be able to get on the bus cuz it's crowded as hell.

Hi there! I have a question on the ballot numbers.

How will the 1st timers and 2nd timers be allotted the queue numbers? For example, for the 300 3-rm Dakota units, do first timers get a number out of 285 (95%) units? So the first timers selected for the queue would be 285 X 3 = 855? And similarly, 15 (5%) X 3 = 45 2nd timers would be selected for the queue? If so, then would all 900 of them be placed in the same queue?

Oh and another question on 3-rm vs 4-rm flats. I've applied for the Dakota 4-rm, but am worried about the oversubscription. I'm reluctantly considering cancelling and applying for 3-rm. What are your views on 3-rm vs 4-rm? Is 3-rm really too small for starting a family? Or should I just apply and see how? I would really love to stay at Dakota.

Thank you all!
First timers and those on priority schemes get picked for the ballot first, but numbers are randomly allocated within the 300% supply. It is just by probability that you might get a better number since you are getting picked first. Perfectly possible for second timer to get a number within first 100%, and first timer to be at tail end.

I do not think 3-room will offer enough space if one decides to have more than one kid, frankly.

nowadays 3rm too small liao. esp if you have different gender kids when they grow up also need their own space.

applied SBF, with the first timer rate at 2.1, is that mean at least will get queue number???
Yes, you should be assured of a number within 300% of flat supply, considering some units are set aside for priority schemes like seniors priority and third child priority schemes that are first/second time neutral.

ask u guys ah. if first timer application rate is 0.8 does it mean guaranteed will get ah?
i have factored in all the possibilities and wondering if there are any other factors that will affect. any pros can assess for me? hahaa

note the overall ratio is 1.3.(inclusive of second timer)

Yes, anything less than 1.0 in your respectively category is guaranteed (first timer in your case).

Wah.. if got Parenthood Priority (but not Married child Priority), what are the chances of getting a unit if the ratio hit 4? :s22::(

Hard to say because every priority scheme has their own number of applicants and that data is only available to HDB.

I'm hoping that it stays below 1.0 too, went for 3rm instead this time.

Lucky u!! Congrats 0.9

yea man. no point fighting with people on 4Br. this is easily the last plot of city fringe land that one can find at least for the next few years. cross fingers for good number though :3

and also, for people who ballot for 4Br. i really say good luck to u guys. 50% of the house of the 95% (if you are first timer) are prioritised for married child, 30+2% for other priorities. Basically u are left with 18% or 120 units if you are a first timer without any priority schemes. In short, 120 units fought among 3000 people. You have gotta be a spartan man.
