Depends on luck.
lol, 1 to 3 trains now, maybe wait 3 to 6 trains in 5 years when all the new BTOs are completed in Sengkang, Punggol, Hougang and Bidadari. I think it may even be worse than NS line.
nett nett there'll be minimal impact. In order for the trains to move seamlessly like a mechanical clockwork, each train will have more or less the same stopping time at each station. For those at Woodleigh moving towards city, the previous station is Serangoon, a major MRT and bus interchange. This is where alot of passengers get in and out of the train. But the stopping time remains the same and this means not all passengers will be able to board the train. That's why I have been able to get on the woodleigh train all the time. Squeezy yes, but I can get on all the time.
However, those at Potong Pasir/Boon Keng will kenna since these are residential areas and more people board the train than alight. Farrer park has quite equal number of alighting and disembarking passengers.
Little India has alot of passengers alighting, only slightly less than Dhoby Ghaut. Dhoby Ghaut you see alot of passengers alight and some getting on, but a net decrease in passengers on train. And so on and so for.
For those at Bidadari, in order for you not to get on the train, you will need the train operator to increase the stopping time at each station, but as it is, this is not really possible in order to maximise the number of trains moving thru stations per unit time.
This is my observation.
