wondering if anyone is like me. my combined income with my gf is jus slightly below 11k and ballot for 3rm at dakota just to secure the house in this premium location? as opposed to some guys in this forum who believe that 2rm/3rm are slums, i just got a feeling that we have played the smarter card this time round?

Oh that will be me and my significant other. I am about 7k and she is about 4k. Refreshing to see somebody else rationalizing the ballot odds like we did. We cared a lot more about the location, coupled with our young age no children we went for the 3bedroom. We figured we cld spent a bomb on the reno to make the flat more comfortable to make up for the size.

However i wouldnt say that theres anything such as a better play tho since every body have different needs to balance to arrive on their most rational bet.

Btw, referred behind letter mentioned as first timer, if failed ballot twice, still got extra once chance to select as 1st timer under non-mature BTO. Which means 3 tries?!?

If ur 1,2nd time under non mature didn’t have a queue number.
Ur 3rd under non mature = guaranteed a queue number.

Does this additional ballot chance only applies for:
1) BTO?
2) Non-matured estates?

What if you'd a failed ballot for SBF in non-matured estate. Does it take into consideration for this additional ballot?

You are right, the application must be for a BTO unit in a non-mature estate. SBF does not count since like BTO in mature estates, those units are already in short supply for them to set aside any meaningful amount.

Not guarantee, just an additional ballot chance that will keep increasing with each successive failure to get a number

It used to be so but recently HDB has changed rule stating that as long as one of the applicants is 1st timer, they will be considered as 1st timer? Correct me if I'm wrong.

A 3rm in Geyland is not exactly considered cheap but it's good to work within your budget. When I bought my place more than 10 years ago, I calculated based on only half of our combined income. True enough, economy got rocky many times along the way but we were still able to switch jobs and fire useless bosses along the way.

With not much of a loan, we saved up most of our cash and put it in places to fight inflation. Point is, everybody has their choices and we make decisions based on our comfort level.

I am 2nd timer and my gf is 1st timer. Wasted I threw away the letter. Crap.

Yeah. Me too. The customer service talk some crap and I challenged her on the "enjoy first timer as a couple" thing and she taiji to the guy who signed the letter and the guy was forever uncontactable. Today go mps hoot them.

For the case, is that must put ur gf as 1st Applicant??? No idea.. maybe just call/email HDB to clarify and appeal again?

If u take HDB loan, ur 2nd timer even if yr spouse is 1st timer.

If u did not take HDB loan and ur 2 timer and your spouse is 1st timer, ur consider as 1st timer.

If that's the case, I did choose to take hdb loan during my application.

Maybe that's why the letter say I'm 2nd timer. But this whole thing very messy. Their faq should state the rules clearer.

"Same situation" as you. I received the acknowledgment letter consider as first timer. First application is under your name or partner ? Will it be affected ?

I am under 2 priority scheme, one is pps another is mcps.
