are you using the default singtel tv router? which model is that?

which set top box is that?

for me i had used singtel tv before i hopped onto the unlimited fibre wagon, my experience was so far so good. I wasn't using the default singtel gateway though, so perhaps the router might have an impact on the streaming experience.

Using ASUS RT-AC68U, all the time no problem. The lagging just happen from last month onward , the set top box is can do recording type.

you might need to check on the ac68u then. sometimes could be resolved with just a reboot of router, or could be the issue with your set top box. tried to reset set top box instead?

When you said "reset" is referring to power-off than power-on again ?

reset and reboot are different. reboot is to turn power on and off. reset is to force the set top box to restore default configuration with a fresh download of firmware.

depending on which set top box you use, reset steps might be different.

Is there a need to reset up connection again? Is ok to leave it as singtel-mio profile just that port 3 is unused? My port 1 n 2 are currently being used for lan devices. Port 4 singteltv.

Any other advice what will be the default setting in Asus router-LAN->IPTV tab to have no issue?

ever since upgrade to 1Gbps, sometimes the mio tv program will "hang" and need to change the channel up or down to get it going again.

the miotv stb is connected via lan

what do you guys think can cause this problem? sometimes,

the wifi signal can be lost too for a few seconds. this only happens may be once every few days but its still irritating :(

it came with ac1900

wifi signal loss maybe due to band steering, you need to turn it off if you are not using it.

singtel tv hang is not normal, maybe next time you can report to 1688 and see what they can do for you..

Singtel TV should not hang under normal circumstances because there are already QoS rules applied for it. Whatever that is, singtel TV has priority and that it should not happen at all in most cases. I had singtel TV for some time back, didn't have any problem with it even with 3rd party routers.

You can contact 1688 and they can remotely access your router and turn off for you should you be using it. The idea of band steering is to steer between the 2 bands accordingly. That means you will have a momentary drop in wifi as conditions change.

Quite some time ago I also had this problem. They resetted the profile, changed the modem and ont but the problem still persist intermittently. In the end got a third party router and from that day onwards everything is history lol.
