Definitely in higher demand since i presume a majority of sobf applicants are people who wish to own a new flat without waiting for 3-5 years.

Also expect relatively higher price for sobf units nearing completion.

My queue number is 70plus whats the chances of getting skyline and skypeak?
Am also looking at west terra and west valley will i have a chance in these too?

My number is nearing the tail end of supply (300ish).

Hard to say if you can get your choice units. Really depends on what the 70plus people before you want. If you are lucky, all of them are in no rush to own a house and want cheaper alternatives like west edge. then good for you (and maybe me heh).

But i think its safe to say alot of people are eyeing skyline and skypeak (doesnt help that units for sale are mid-high floors). dont get your hopes high.

Hi,

Anybody gotten Queenstown?

I got 2x/27...

Dawson - 83sqm very small, not near MRT
Commonweath - all #02 #03
Ghim Moh - OK but a bit off side from town area

Which one will u choose?
you are very lucky! i balloted for qstwn but got no number. :(
anyway, if you can afford it, i would recommend Dawson>Commonwealth>Ghim Moh

i stay nearby those area and took a walk around 2 areas before i submitted my ballot.
Dawson:
Smaller units @ 83 sqm, but the surrounding is quiet. you are not very far off from food; there's a ntuc nearby at Dawson place and there are kopitiams around SkyTerrace area. (including dental clinic and some other facilities). p.s. the loft units look awesome.

Commonwealth:
max 5 mins to MRT station; that's how near it is. when it rains, you will most likely just get some drops of rain because there is only one tiny road to cross before you reach the estate. very windy in the surrounding area, but not too sure of the actual units. but only left units #04 and below. supermarket (sheng siong) and many food options available nearby.

Ghim Moh; observed thru train rides.
really smacked right between Dover and Buona Vista MRT. unsure about the food options and future facilities. the distance to MRT is quite a bummer.

.

Location is very ideal.
EC is closer to MRT compared to EW.
Once EastLink is completed, you will find it even more convenient (for shop and transport).

Because the project is located on the side plot of land, there is possible more breeze. This is inconsideration of the low height of industry area (less buildings blocking).

EC offers more playgrounds & fitness corner. If you have kids, it will be kid friendly I suppose??

Kitchen's length seems to be longer compared to EW (based on HDB suggested floor plan layout - can put fridge/stove/sink in 1 row unlike EW)

Downside -> Popular in previous launches so a lot of the high floors have already been snagged (for 4 rms).

Fences are still up but keys are ready soon.
It should be available by the time of 2nd appointment starts.

Hope this helps. =)

yah, very helpful. Just got my first kid. will take your advice for consideration.

Any Bukit batok applicants looking at west edge? What are your thoughts on this project? Tired of trying for hot BTO launches already haha.

Gotten myself 3x and I'll be choosing west edge for sure. Prices are way more reasonable and bound to get a high level unit as leftover aplenty.

Ditto. Skyline and Skypeak look great and are located close to Bukit Batok Central. Plus you can get keys immediately.

West edge has entire stacks of 5 room from level 2 till the highest for selection. Should be good for you

I think the timeline should be the same as those SBF which keys are ready for collection. After selection of flat, you will need to wait 1 to 2 months for second appointment which is signing of lease agreement and at the same time key collection.
