Most likely work the same way as how it is now, games will remain in library as long you're a member. But I'm not sure how long they'll be offered as free download. Either the standard 1 month, or maybe slightly longer.

This is much better than what we have now though, which is usually only 2 or 3 games per month (Assuming there's no price increase for PS+ Subscription in the future).

"For PlayStation Plus members, we’ll have a special new offering on PS5 – the PlayStation Plus Collection. PS5 owners with PS Plus will be able to download and play a curated library of PS4 games that defined the generation, like Batman Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, Fallout 4, God of War, Monster Hunter: World, Persona 5 and many more. The PS Plus Collection will be an added benefit to the existing PS4 benefits that PS Plus members receive for a single subscription price."

i get that Xbox brand doesnt usually appeal to Asian countries, but Microsoft's offering to the console and PC market is actually something else.

plus the cheaper console is a danger to Sony's sales strategy. Sony still considers console sales number as a mark of success/failure.

actually console games have always been cheap (the price has remained for a long time now, yet development costs has increased)

the price increase has been long due~

and console games have always been more expensive than PC games~

Pretty excited after watching the trailer. I hope they offer the entire collection as long as a PS+ member. But then, could be just a limited offer to standard 1 month/first few months to attract more people to buy PS5 initially. If it's entire collection put out there forever, I think they would have already put in trailer "access the collection anytime as long as maintain PS+ membership" to make people really happy. Let's wait for more details.

Needless to say, we need more info on this.
The way I see this is a "games vault to access" rather than a "add to my library" type. A PS+/games pass combo. A long term thing.

Tbh, I'm not totally surprise, considering these probably started developing a long time ago and miles morales is brand as an expansion (standalone) to the 1st spider-man.

i would always go for disc drive.

and continue with disc buying

reason is simple. if i dun like the game i bought, i can sell it away immediately without any kind of restriction or problematic transaction

For my PS4 I always buy digital games. But I don't want to restrict my options to only digital games so I will still buy the disc version.
