not necessarily. nobody even considers a xbox in sgLocal price for series x is out right? I think Sony will probably try to match it.
Then again the availability might dictates the price.

Most likely work the same way as how it is now, games will remain in library as long you're a member. But I'm not sure how long they'll be offered as free download. Either the standard 1 month, or maybe slightly longer. If I interpret this correctly, all these PS4 games will be available as free games on PS5 at launch for PS+ members. Doesn't say how long they will be free (perhaps for a long time, not just 1 month?) and whether you keep them forever (as long as you remain member).
i get that Xbox brand doesnt usually appeal to Asian countries, but Microsoft's offering to the console and PC market is actually something else.not necessarily. nobody even considers a xbox in sg

actually console games have always been cheap (the price has remained for a long time now, yet development costs has increased)The worst news is the price increase of some (not all) AAA games to USD $69.99. Means it might cost around $90+ per game in Singapore.
According to Sony, the PS5 is approximately 390mm (15.4 inches) tall, 260mm (10.24 inches) deep and 104mm (4.09 inches) wide, making it the single biggest game console you’ve probably ever heard of. The model without the disc drive? Same story, just 12 millimeters slimmer.
Wonder what's the local pricing are. The PS4 was sold at a markup price (of over $70) of $639 at launch.
Demon's Souls is a PS5 launch game (12 Nov). Also coming to PC at a later date.

This is much better than what we have now though, which is usually only 2 or 3 games per month (Assuming there's no price increase for PS+ Subscription in the future).
Currently only have this info, taken from PlayStation Blog article.
"For PlayStation Plus members, we’ll have a special new offering on PS5 – the PlayStation Plus Collection. PS5 owners with PS Plus will be able to download and play a curated library of PS4 games that defined the generation, like Batman Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, Fallout 4, God of War, Monster Hunter: World, Persona 5 and many more. The PS Plus Collection will be an added benefit to the existing PS4 benefits that PS Plus members receive for a single subscription price."

I'm so old school(or just old), I still appreciate physical cover art. Digital ones just don't work for me.Unless they tell me digital games are half the price of physical copies, I’ll still stick with disc version.
