Ideal for insurance and housing agents. Can earn more extra to offset their car expenses.

But not as a full time job.

App does not display fare after trip completion

Just wanted to check with the other early adopters/seniors in being partners with Uber...

I joined Uber only recently and on the first few trips I clocked the following day, the app does not show any fares and wanted an input before I can swipe 'complete trip'. Initially, I thought it was only because of my AM trip, so I went to clock another 2 more trips later in the night; all of them had the same problem [had to put in a fare before I can 'complete trip']

Does any of the rest of the partners here experience similar issue or know if this is a norm? I read from Uber support website, they claim they are aware of the issue and is working on a fix... I wrote to them, the support team told me give it some time to calculate (I wrote back telling them, I waited 8 hours or more, and they did not even reply me after that). It's more than 48hours since my last trip was clocked and my trip summary still isn't showing the right fares...

Appreciate if those who have similar experience share your thoughts...

Thanks and have a great weekend.

Based on my understanding, I am using my own car and by no means it is a "taxi". Also, nowhere in my Uber partner profile (both Mobile and Desktop browser) indicates whether I am UberX, UberXL, UberExec, UberExecXL or UberTaxi. As such, I should be under UberX.

Hi, please dont feel offended, i was just trying to clarify as UberX should have fares automatically computed, its weird and troublesome for you to have to input fares like UberTaxi does.

I totally appreciate your question [the support did not even ask me this question] and don't get me wrong, I was not offended. It's just that I personally feel that the Uber Partners app/browser interface is lacking a lot of important contents and I have no idea how to retrieve some details. Not to mention, the app itself is buggy. I tried to lower the surge push notifications from 2.0x to 1.3x but there is no way that can be registered/saved.

My gosh, what's the chance of I possibly be the only 1 having such issues with Uber-Partners/app?

Headed down to Uber office today and had the issues rectified on the spot. Like what pilotsnoopy mentioned, it was indeed a case whereby my car was being categorized as 'UberTaxi' hence the need to input a fare upon completion of a trip.

Morale of the story is, it is pointless emailing the support hoping to get things done.

Thanks to bro pilotsnoopy for the hint/clue for me to get even with Uber.

uber or Grab car - better earning than than taxi drivers ah??
Definitely cabbie bro, hands down. I just switched from cabbie to do uber n grab. No fight at all. Will change back to cabbie after cny.

Eg. I OMO, so cab rental $133, diesel $40, thats all i need to cover. I do $400 sales with 15hrs, i make $227. Uber grab car rental $65, petrol $60, 20%comm, 15hrs i hardly do $300 sales cos the fares are so damn cheap. After 20% comm, only make $120. With incentives, which prob comes to $200 a week, only abt $140+ a day. No fight
