If I'm not mistaken opennet will only wire up to road in front of your place. But you must sign up with RSP before they will terminate inside your house.
Yes, you are right.
There are two status for Opennet ready now:
1. Home Ready - Fibre has been deployed to the first Termination Point in the residential premises.
2. Home Passed - Fibre has been deployed up to the distribution point of each floor for residential high-rise buildings, or to the manhole for residential landed units.
(Extracted from M1 website)
They are speeding up the installation jobs with the second option now so it should be shorter time to be ready from now.(I think)
Previously they have been trying very hard to complete every household to be Home Ready but ended up not every household utilise the fibre set up.
I have just signed up and completed my fibre set up before CNY on Home Passed condition.
Hopefully, the Opennet installation will speed up for the rest of the household in Singapore.
P.S.
You shall receive a Letter of Notice if it is Home Passed and you may then proceed to apply for Fibre BB of your preferred ISP for the subsequent installations which includes Opennet TP and ISP Modem Router to TP.
