I have voted for pap in the past not because I support them but SDA really cmi.

I thought of casting a null vote to express my discontent but some said that is in effect increasing PAP vote share.

Hence I will be voting for SDA this time unless PAP can convince me they will be really fixing the real issues instead of keep playing the broken record of the town council issue. It's like they have nothing else better to talk about but gloat over the opposition's town council predicament which I have a tendency to believe is the result of no proper hand over from PAP after losing the election in 2011.

went for SDA rally just now. also quite impressed by their sincerity.

anyway i want to remind some of us voters, that voting in the opposition parties does NOT mean they will take a ministerial or some other executive appointment. the party which gets majority of the seats will still form the government and have full autonomy to decide which of their party members get to hold political office.

what i want is for more voices in parliament that come with voting powers. what's the point of having opposition voices in parliament for the sake of voicing out on its own? PAP made this point at their Buangkok rally yesterday. PAP said you don't need to vote for opposition to have their voices in parliament, because it's constitutionally guaranteed, thru the NCMP system, etc. But wait, I'm not stupid. These voices don't come with parliamentary voting powers. So, I will still want my opposition voices in parliament!

Really wish WP will come to PRPG. maybe 2020/2021 elections WP will send a team. and then we can make Pasir Ris blue like the waters of our town park.

I'd just like to say that in life (and this is also true in the workplace), it takes twice the amount of time and effort to doubleback to try and fix our mistakes.

Who here has never been stuck at work with checking a colleague's **** work? How long did that slow us down while we had to put our own proper work aside?

I've purchased my HDB within PRP GRC at 400k+, 4+ years ago.
But for my children and the sake of the next generation, I won't mind my HDB price to drop now till 150k or lower. I'm gonna stay in the flat anyway, or move to another HDB flat.

Why care if my HDB market value is, for example, 800k now? If I sell to profit, I still need to take the profit out to buy another HDB at 800k.

I'm already struggling to pay for 400k. What will happen to my next generation, if the humble 3-room flat is 1 million? Don't say it's impossible. We already have public housing that cost beyond that, in our time.

Don't wait till when your son is struggling to get married, your pockets are empty and can't do anything. He may be asking you "Dad/Mom, why did you bring me into this world to suffer?"

Do you have an answer to that question? Probably you do, like "Sorry son, I voted for PAP."

i believe that a good number of real singaporeans have moved out of sengkang since 2011, replaced by new shitizens

these new shitizens will vote pap and increase their winning margin

we need to maintain pressure on the incumbent and not let SDA's margin drop

exactly. when the time comes, its possible you have to sacrifice your own retirement funds to help your kids pay for the downpayment. hopefully u wont have too many kids to burden you.

i didnt feel threatened after hearing what they had to say

on the other hand, i feel threatened about not having amenities like hawker centre and bus interchange after hearing a different rally

maybe the candidates' personalities are more important than speech-giving skills
