For my wife case, yes she does charge to 100 often. For my mi a1 is due to old age.

Already bought new phone Liao, so not changing batt. 3 years is long enough la, due for a change
I guess poco x3 nfc isn't too great ufs2.1 and all that, but should still be good enough as a handled down phone and cheaper than a new phone.

Assuming things go smoothly, anybody gotten their battery replaced before?

ie: battery isn't too old stock, stored properly so it isn't already deteriorated (capacity 95%+ hopefully maybe?) and if they try to add extra charges due to bs reason such as the cover being non-removable so they have to replace it instead of just the glue

I sent WhatsApp message to Xiaomi Service Centre to double confirm the prices and they just blue-tick me. 😒

Will make my way some time this week with the unit and see what they say.

Mine is bloated too.
Not sure if it is defects that affect all Poco X3 NFC.

Poco X3 NFC Telegram Group people around the world is experiencing this problem.

Although the battery is bloated, the battery life is still surprisingly good.

Sending the phone to Official Xiaomi Service Center will need to do a full wipe before they inspect the phone.
Not sure if worth the pain of backing up the whole phone just to send for inspection.

Out of warranty Servicing fees is not that cheap too.

Every battery get bloated eventually.

Not cheap but if get at least 6 more months, is worth it maybe? battery replacement is for under $50.

iirc, phone is less than $300, last 3 years, that's ~$100 per year.

I think it depend on how much care, like during fast charging, not using it, have some cooling like fan blowing on it, charge to no more than 80%, which is what I do.

Accubattery says I still have at least 90% capacity for my last few full charge which I do accidentally once in a while with slow overnight charge after 1.5 years of using my POCO F3

I dare say on an average day, I either do 2 15-80% charges or a long "using while charging" from my laptop power usb port which charge my phone battery at around 1000mAh.

I don't believe this slow charging would normally causes the battery temperature to exceed 40°C

Fast charging at 5000mAh easily causes the battery to exceed 42°C and goes as high as 46°C without fans and of course charging speed tanks after it get that hot, usually to around 3000mAh but could drop as low as 2200mAh.

somewhere early 2021.

have to admit, i usually charge it overnight when i sleep, probably overcharging by a lot. light gaming on it, doesn't get the phone too hot, probably at most lukewarm to the touch if i tend to play too long on it like continuous over 2 hours or so

My x3 pro was 11-11 2021. Didn't realise it's turning 2yo soon. Due to my previous bad charging habits with Redmi Note 2, 4 and Poco F1. I learnt my lesson to let my x3 pro run low until 30% or lower, then charge and try to unplug before it goes 100%.

this is actually the first phone i had with fast charging tech, my last phone before X3 NFC was LG v30, charge overnight batt doesn't bloat. but usually after 3 years+/- battery life is short, 100% to 20% after about 16 hours normal daytime usage.

Battery seem to lose it juices quite fast.

Got the replacement from taobao.

Opened up the phone, see the battery abit bloating.

Just changed the battery, DIY 2 weeks back.

Now all good. Can last me whole day without charging in between the day.

X3 Pro with fast charging usually one hour is good enough to bump up 30-40%. That's why I almost never leave it overnight.
you must be doing something wrong, it takes 15 to 20 minutes for 30% to 40% more on exisiting amount, for it to take 3 to 4 times longer, it's probably overheating and that's bad for the battery.
