anyone encounter this issue in your yosemite when saving files from the internet you cannot view the bottom options Save and Cancel like below pic?

yeah happens to me too, had to click the up arrow beside "Save As" box and back again to have the proper view.

Itchy users like me update to OS X Yosemite when the Beta was released.

It's already officially released now so technically it's supposed to be a Stable release.

However you can never be too sure.

Do a time machine backup and update.

Don't yall know that you can easily revert back your whole system to any time machine backup that was done? When I say revert, it will revert back the OS as well.

click2plugin works as advertised. juz dat me hv to install flash again.

both safari and firefox can disallow flash without installing anything. juz wish dat safari has the option of always ask instead of ask and stick with it.

Time machine is a built-in backup program on ALL macs, if you don't have time machine, it could only be you don't have a mac or you have an old mac running OS X Tiger or earlier.

Unless you mean you don't have spare portable HDDs or you mean "Time Capsule"?

It's up to you if you want to live life dangerously! haha

Regardless of an OS X Upgrade or not, Backup is essential, be it time machine or just manually copying your data elsewhere.

No computer manufacturers guarantees your data is safe, it's all written in the fine print of their T&C.

To them, Data loss = "who ask you not to backup?"

I've seen my fair share of data loss cases

Is it worth paying thousands of dollars for data recovery service, i would rather buy lots of portable HDD and make multiple copies of backup. LOL

I have prepared Yosmite installer in flash disk already.

I am now getting ready to erase the existing OS from my MBA.

Just want to confirm before I proceed to erase during start up.

Usually how many partition is inside an original MBA if I have never create any from new.

If just the existing OS, then I just delete and install the Yosemite right?

But if 2-3 partition inside, then can I delete all to make into one before install Yosemite?

Sorry but just to make sure before I proceed further.

Do a time machine backup first, but why didn't you just update directly from itunes store?

If you have made necessary backup, please proceed.

If you're not sure of how many partition, best to repartition the whole drive.

Boot into the Yosemite bootable installer
Go to Disk Utility
Select the main drive on the left, NOT the partition
Click th drop down menu "Current" change it to "1 Partition"
Change the name to "Macintosh HD"
Change the format to Mac OS Extended Journaled
Max out the size
Click on option and make sure "GUID Partition Table" is selected

Click OK & Apply

That will wipe the whole drive of your MBA, close disk utility and I initiate the installation to "Macintosh HD"

I have press option during startup and found other than macintosh HD I still have recovery disk Maverick inside. Is this a partition also?

Then I proceed to erase Macintosh HD but how come took only 3-5second and is it completely wipeout or not?

My wifi seem to be very cranky after the update.
The connection keeps dropping even when the signal is strong.
