I'm currently using a MX850. what would be a good replacement from the laser counterpart?

1. Colour, full duplex

2. Print Scan Copy Fax (4in1)

3. Printing capacity per month: Not alot. Maybe 50/month

4. Budget

5. Other extra requirement like wireless, iphone printing etc.

Wireless, Airprint and Print direct on CD would be a bonus.

Fuji Xerox CM305df $799 or Samsung CLX-6220FX $888
Both network only so have to add wireless router to make it wifi enabled.
No air print or drint direct from cd.
If your printing capacity, you dont have to change toner at all. Starting toner confirm can last until your printer uplorry which is after 3 years warranty.:s13::s13::s13:

Toner for CM305df:
Black 3000 $112
Cyan 3000 $165
Magenta 3000 $165
Yellow 3000 $165
(we got compatible toners)

Toner for CLX-6220FX
Black 5000 $115
Cyan 4000 $135
Magenta 4000 $135
Yellow 4000 $135
(we dont have compatible toners)

Hi, looking for

1. Colour

2. Print, Scan, Copy (3in1)

3. Printing capacity per month very low at less than 100

4. less than 200 hopefully if not possible then less than 300, more concern with the cost per page, hopefully its as low as possible but i figured with my monthly usage, it does not really make a big difference?

5. must have full wireless, not network

thanks for the help! :)

edit: saw at one of the post is that theres no wireless for 3in1s. if thats the case 4in1s are fine too if any

Impossible for colour laser to be below $300. 3in1 without wireless is already 400-500 range already.

For inkjet you may want to consider HP3070A or Canon 3170

What is the diff between HL-2240D and HL-2270DW?

How much are their compatible toners and how reliable is it?

I have used compatible ink for Inkjet printers and they dry up the ink head so fast...spoiling my machine.

Hi theToners,

Need your help here. :)

Thanks!

Oh, sorry i missed out the front part.

For HL2240D is just print with auto duplex (use usb connection, no networrk no wireless)

For HL-2270DW is print auto duplex network and wireless.

Both printing engines, toners and drum is the same.

For compatibles, currently it is going for $59 for 1. We only sell high yield models so it would last you for 2.6k pages. It is pretty reliable as it is in powder form. So with the correct storage, it would not dry up. We even did on-site testing for several customers we are afraid before.

We are trying to come out with promos also haha

As for the bad compatible ink experience, it is also one of the reasons why we are still not bringing in ink yet as it is very troublesome

Hi,

Just a noob question. I thinking of getting a laser printer (all-in-one), as I am tired of the wastage of the ink for ink-jet printer. My usage will be very low. Will there be any damage to the printer if it is off most of the time, and we only on it to print a few pages?

Regards.

Not really since toner is in solid form. Wouldn't really dry up but will stick together under humid condition. If the storage condition is right, should be no problem to last a while.

sian. my toner spoilt i think. check the toner and missing one line of coating which resulted non-printing throughout the page of that line. :(

toner only 30% used, and lexmark told me to get a new one ~@#$%^&!

anyone has idea of fixing the toner is feasible. :(

Wireless means that it would use wifi to link ur printer to ur router. Network means u have to use LAN cable to connect ur printer to ur router.

- Budget (i'm open to pay more for reliable and quality)

For laser duplex colour would be around 700-800 plus. Doubt u want that huge jump.

- Size (for home use so prefer smaller the better)

For laser duplex colour would be huge also. :/

may i trouble you to recommend please? i actually eyeing on Canon PIXMA MX897, any comments.

MX897 got fax. Unless u are eyeing on the automatic document feeder. If not you may want to consider MG3170 or MG5170. Epson ME900WD is fine also.

thank you very much

Cheeeeeeers !!! lol the message you have entered too short haha :/

Ok for Duplex printing you can consider Brother HL-2270DW.

3 years carry-in warranty.
Got duplex and wireless.
Cheapest model in this range of features already.

Laser Toner Cartridge Care Damien – 84157721
Tips to Getting the Most from Your Laser Cartridges
Follow these tips to keep your laser printer cartridge in top condition.
1. Do not attempt to open the cartridge.
2. Do not leave the cartridge in motor vehicles for any length of time, as even on a cool day the temperature can exceed safe levels. Doing so may distort the plastic in the cartridge.
3. Please store cartridges in normal room temperature.
4. Some parts in these cartridges, for example: drum, are light sensitive and can be damaged when exposed to excessive light.
5. Gently shake the cartridge side to side before loading into printer.
6. Once loaded, do not meddle with the cartridge and change only when prompted by printer.
7. All cartridges are covered by PrintCasa six month warranty against defects.
