Looking for a new printer for home use, light user here.

Just 2 components I'm looking at,

1) scanning feature
2) cost effective

Any recommendations greatly appreciated!

You need mono only or need color? Need wireless or usb connection will be fine?

Yea. M265z is a good buy. Can hang ard suntec (cEE show) or expo (pc show) for good deals.

hi all need recommendation for laser printer

1. Duplex colour laser printer with print scan copy & fax)
2. wireless printing preferred though not a must
3. Able to print up to A3 if possible
4. No Budget yet sourcing for brands and prices around first

I do colour print occasionally about once a month but i'm have heavy usage for B&W so I'm concerned about the cost of toner also.

If need A3 then will be copier ard 6-10k.

IF really heavy then should just get Fuji Xerox M455df (mono multifunction)
$2,499 and they charge you 1.6 cents per mono print.

Cause colour laser printer tends to have a high mono per page cost.

If really need colour then can consider

Samsung CLX-6260 or Canon MF8580cdw

Hi, been using the cheap Brother HL 1110 mono laser printer for a year and it is great, not giving me any problem at all.

However looking for another laser printer.

Laser, Scan, Colour. any recommendation? prefer the cheapest 1 and fuss free.

Hi I have a Xerox FujiCM205FW which print out very fade Colours despite my replacing with new cartridges (all 4 brand new)

Any idea why is this so?

Is there a drum that I need to replace?

I'm having a similar problem with my FujiXerox CM215B. The BLACK colour colour is NOT coming out despite changing compatible black toner cartridge twice already. Other colours seem to be OK when I print the demo page.

Toner problem or more serious printer hardware problem, anybody can advise?

depends on your budget and requirements on specs
all 3 are mono, can scan and can print auto duplex
M265z can also auto duplex scan according to specs.

Im a M265z user for almost half a year. Yes it can auto duplex print and auto duplex scan (via ADF). I connect my printer to my router (using ethernet cable) coz there was some issue with the static/auto ip address when i tried connecting the printer via wifi to my computer. The ip address got reset every time i switch off and on the printer. Now on wired ethernet connection, I dont hv any more of the ip address problem and it works everytime.

Having similar problem with my cm205fw....black color printout is very fade, rest of colors are ok. Problem seem to be the compatible black toner cartridge, as other colors cartridge are genuine...

Finally solved my problem following solution here....

By changing a new cartridge and printing blocks of rectangle in black only for almost 10 pages, I can see the black color slowly coming back
