Hi all, I would be grateful for opinions on this diamond - ASET image and GIC cert in the link below.
Context: I spoke to a jeweller (not naming names for now to prevent any bias) with the lowest specs I could tolerate: G, VS1, 1 carat. I've done a lot of reading on this thread and understand light return/ cut is still the key metric, so I've asked for that to be prioritised. I know triple excellents aren't enough but could someone advise if this can be considered even an ideal cut by HoH or other similar jeweller's standards?
Please note that this diamond is not by JP, as their diamonds are expensive for my budget. I'm fully aware its quality will not be as high as a JP diamond, and don't expect this diamond to have JP's quality, but value is most important for me and the gf at this stage - eye clean is good enough. I have a budget to meet.
My biggest dislike is that it is 1.00 carat, which I know isn't great since it is a 'magic number'. But leaving that aside, please let me know if the cut is decent enough based on the ASET scope - thanks very much all! (apologies I am a new user so can't post images/links directly)

It's also on Geminfo here: view[dot]gem360.in/gem360/1303201146-125384/gem360-1303201146-125384.html
I wouldn't say the diamond is a very good diamond. The arrows are not symmetrical.. the girdles are not symmetrical either.. The bigger problem is those light leakages at the centre table area, which will have form a darker patch at the centre of the diamond. Don't forget, when you see the diamond at tilted angles, those light leakages will get worse. You can see JP explaining those in their video.
The diamond is cut deeper which might be the reason why it has those light leakages there. Deep diamonds also makes it smaller. Summore yours is a 1.00ct, I feel its not very worth it. It will look more like a 0.9ct+ size and won't look be as sparkly either. You're paying just for the sake of that 1ct mark. It's likely that the cutter was trying his best to hit the 1.00ct mark for the $$ and anyhow cut the diamond.
