Georgetown like rundown and never improve much over 10 years

still no trains
Traffic really crazy
Street art no maintain

But food really no horse run sedap

there u got to go grab

Georgetown is the mainland part of Penang and not the island... island is now a manufacturing hub and is more vibrant and uptown....

Lol Georgetown is on the island. Even if you have never been to Penang, at least bother to use google map la. I frequent Penang until some parts I can drive without gps.

Are the food there cheap?

Not that cheap because whilst you pay only +-RM8 (duck egg), the portion is very little. I can eat 2 to 3 plates. It's snack portion.

too bad they stopped the ship where the car can drive onto. that was once an attraction.

when they stop the ship service? Moi visited 6 years via the ship and it was quite an experience.

They stopped soon after 2nd bridge was built. Now become only ferry human, and is different type of boat.

Went once before covid. It's a place that I might go again in a few years time (that was my thought then, now not sure).

Upside down museum (nice)
Some shopping malls (boring, even ksl is better)
Avatar garden (nice)

Food I quite like
CKT with duck egg (I miss this)
Popiah (I miss this)
Lor bak (I miss this)

Prawn noodles
Duck kuay chap
Marrybrown
Laksa (I miss this)

I still remember the korean bbq I had at the mall near airport (queentown or something) was lousy. Thank god it was the only lousy food I had.

Grab / uber was very cheap, not sure now.

I tried the tau sa piah, don't like it. I prefer our SG ones, especially from loong fatt. Also ate red prawn durian, not to my taste either.
