sry to hear about your bad experience, saintgril, and thanks for sharing.

This is one reason why I personally prefer to travel free & easy but for korea, I think I need a package tour, so which agent is highly recommended then?

:s22: I guess is heng suay one. I join fivestars tour at Jurong Point, the service was good, mostly I do not need to ask myself.

Fivestars even said if tour is cancel they will refund the money after 1mth. I do not even ask for this, fivestars staff ownself tell one.

Else you can join HIS travel, highly recommended, eventhough their price was cheaper than others, their food and hotel is good quality in towns one, that is for kyushu tour (7D $1288) I went last mth.

:s22: Ok lah, your problem is just normal, better than Chan brothers.

1) Promotional price only on selected date + 1st few passenger book in the group. So change dates means not 1st few passengers liao.

2&3) My situation is worse. I book for 8 person during Natas in oct/nov to taiwan, tour depart in Dec.

2 weeks before depart, they say tour confirm asked us to pay full. Pay liao the a few days later say tour cancel unable to book hotel.

Ask us to change to another departure date and topup, no more promotional price as Natas is over.

So we decided to cancel the tour and get full refund. But the refund hard to get back, make many calls + emails to Chan Brothers, but always their staff say the person incharge was either on leave or MC. Even complain to CASE but CASE as usual unable to help.

After a few months, in next year Feb the able to get back the full refund in cash.

i booked a package with asia global vacation which is under chan brother.. hope they dun last min trip cancel..

:s22: Does asia global vacation group their customers with chan brothers and depart together~?

Recently ASA has also setup another branch with diff store name called A1A, looks like AIA insurance :s22:

Back to my question. Other than Jeju, which are the other scenic spots?

from what i know, their group will not be with chan brother as the package i sign up is solely for asia global.

We went in January under Chan Brothers Asia Global, it was a 8-day tour.

It was a winter trip including snow skiing, itinerary consist the following :

• Jeju island sightseeing, 4 wheel buggy ride, plucking of 2 mandarins, rural village visit.

• Snow skiing includes equipment.

• Visits to old palace, mountain top, temple at mountain, filming location, street shopping, spa centre, and shopping at shopping centre.

• Visits to 2 theme parks, Everland and Lotte World, however when we arrive at Lotte World it was already evening, and most ride are closed, only able to ride a few.

• Food was standard Korean like big bone soup, hot pot, 20 over small dishes, grill meat, however no seafood. The breakfasts were good, as there are variety of dishes, fruits, and vegetables. Lunch and Dinner not much variety.
They are standard stuffs, don’t expect much.

It was tiring, as we had to wake up very early in the morning, half awake, and then being herd like sheep and cattle going from one location to the next. Everyday have to stay in different hotel, we had place our luggage in the tour bus, and go with us from location to location.

There was a person waiting at Changi airport to help with check-in. The tour guide was waiting at Korea airport. The tour agency here do not control or handle the tour directly. The tour was handled by Korea Tour Agencies. Usually, the tour guide will be at the annual travel fairs in Singapore to explain.

All-in-all, not very bad, and not too great either. Basically, it has its ups and downs.

Yes. Please see my post as followed;

xiaopiggy and the rest, dont ever try Hong Thai! I have extremely terrible experience with them,
1) over-promised and under-delivered - need to top up a few hundred dollars for no reason when there is a change of date (only 4 days apart and not within my expectation) + same itinerary. Be careful when you sign up for their promotion/deal (gimmick!!)

2) the manager did not fulfill his promise when he confirm i will receive my refund. It has been more than 2 weeks since i received it. Imagine the opportunity cost here. We are talking about thousand dollars here! Their sales men promise you earth and sky when they want your business. But they deter addressing your concerns after you sign up for their package. You never hear from them, no calls and email on why there is no refund.

3) i log a complain to their director (Alex Chan) and managing director 黃士心. Like what i said, not even a word or call from them.

4) i am not the only one

Ask yourself, do you still think you are interested to take up a package with them?

Cheap Korea Tour in Jan 2012

Just signed up for a Korea tour package for Jan 2012.
The whole package is 8D6N Korea and 3D2N Shanghai.
The whole package is only S$1388 + S$200plus ariport tax.

The agency is M Asia Travel in People's Park Centre.

I'm new to this agency, but because their price is so attractive, that's why I signed up with them immediately.

I have asked around the other agencies there for the past 2 weeks but all too expensive. M Asia told us that the promotion is because it is off season and thus most people might have spent their holidays in December and thus they want to attract people for the January tour.

Any body interested? They told us they are waiting for another 6 persons to fill up the min of 15 pax before the price will to go up..
