Shell promo is last weekend. I think it is a steal.

Unless you drive ferrari or similar, any oil should do lah.

big brands like shell is good. Cannot say any oil la.. some oil when hard driving after 100 deg C will degrade and oil pressure will drop.. Will affect cooling.

i usually pump spc95 and once i changed to caltex95 after seeing a thread on caltex petrol is clean for engine. wa...from outside tge car i can feel engine sound is louder than when usung spc so now i changed back spc.

Dont know about Schnell but for Mobil 1, even an open bottle of EO can be used after 5 years if capped and stored properly.

why not?Just store the oil in normal room temperature.

I am not dealer. I am just a car owner learning from others here. But I'm wondering why you want to drag your oil servicing. Just go by what you owner's manual recommend. I am not a chemist nor am I an oil expert. So... Your car maker will know best. Go with what they recommend.

If you want the best fuel economy for your car, just choose the thinnest oil that your owner manual recommended. Usually it is 0w20 or 5w20, so go for it, no point save $20? on getting 5w40 and yet pay $5 extra everytime you pump petrol by losing mileage. From w40 to w20, usually you gain around 30-60km per tank.

Labour cost for oil change at mxtradings are $12. So for example

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w20 $16 x 4quart = $64
oil filter = $6
So total = $64 + $6 + $12 = $82
