Starhub ONR basically can only be bridged if you manage to get the one time superadmin password from the installer (against Starhub SOP).

So better not to take chance if you do not want to use unbridged ONR.

Huawei BE3 Pro is anyway not a good router. So you can just use it as an AP after the Nokia ONR if you are keen on the Starhub S$29.55 per month 5Gbps promotion.

Thanks for the advice, xiaofan :)

You will need to go to their main outlets (eg Orchard Central). You will need to sign up on the spot with your mobile phone/tablet. The staff will then give you a promo code to enter as part of the sign up process (The promo code field is in one of the pages before the confirmation and payment page).

You will need to show them the final confirmation screen after payment. They will need to note down your order number (or something on that screen).
May as well don't give. Want to waste everyone's time and crowd out at the stores. Nonsensical promo.

Simba wallet is for mobile line only.

For broadband, you will have to pay upfront the total amount with GST for the full period of the contract.

There is a report that SIMBA starts to offer IPv6, just wondering if anyone here can confirm. Thanks.

The report says that SIMBA 10Gbps service is still using CGNAT (no public IPv4 address, but rather dynamic private IPv4 address). However the report says public IPv6 address is now available.

The problem is that you do not have that option.

MR/VQ offers paid static IPv4 add-on. SIMBA does not offer that option as of now.

But if it is true that SIMBA offers native IPv6, that can be used as a work-around for some use cases.

Ya, SH has disconnection fee. Last time I just pay to disconnect.

MR no cancellation fee. Others I'm not sure.

Morning all, hope some kind & knowledgeable souls can help me here.
I am considering to switch to SIMBA 10G from current M1. However I read that our home IP cameras & CCTV cameras will be not supported by SIMBA. Am using TP Link TAPO IP cameras, Alhua CCTV cameras, with ASUS XDS mesh routers. Await your advises. Thanks.

If you have doubts, better play safe and stay with M1. I would venture to say new M1 2.5Gbps plan is much better than SIMBA 10Gbps for your use cases.

TP-Link Tapo should still work as it uses TP-Link web services (no matter you pay for Tapo Care or not).

No idea about Dahua CCTV, If you need to carry out port forwarding now, then it will not work under SIMBA CGNAT.

As for your Asus ZenWiFi XD5, that will still work but you may need to upgrade to a 10G capable router to fully utlize the bandwidth. ZenWiFi XD5 is a low end mesh solution from Asus which is only good for 1Gbps plans.
