So only nlt got charges? So now they change by right we can charge them for the delay..
Yes. This is same for all ISP, there will be a NLT activation connection fee. some ISP will pay for you and waive it off. But some of them will help you pay and charge back from you just like what Simba do it to you.

And also when you cancel any ISP broadband, NLT will charge you again for $30++ for disconnection fee. Then 1 of the fiber port will be disconnected. If you want to reactivate for new braodband, then again you have to pay $50++ for connection fee again. You cannot as them no to disconnect the fiber port even you cancel away the broadband service.

never ending. so at the end of the day NLT want to earns everything. And NLT is own by Singtel.

and that's the risk you take when you try to min-max the changing over of service...
cheers.

The usual safe practice is to cancel the existing service only when the new service is up and running. In fact, I will even say monitoring for a few days before cancelling the existing services.

I thought of saving money and do not want both plan to overlap

ONT installer said there won't be any charges. Checked with NLT @ 65634273. They said yesterday got error cannot activate. However they just left without informing us or Simba. So irresponsible. The customer service said will check and get back to me.
NLT said they have activated just now around 3pm. Simba have yet to reply when is the ONT installation

huh, I think NLT is taking shortcut might be due to overwhelming ordering. By right they should activate the fibre outside your house and take measurement from the fibre termination point in your house to check whether the signal is strong or not. Taking shortcut so that they no need to wait for you to be at home and waste their time to fulfill more orders

NLT is no longer wholly owned by singtel. Can buy their shares as they are now listed.

for the ONT, they will need to come in to plug the ONT right? if i have existing ones from singtel, any issue? how long will whole procedure take?

NTL check FTP signal strength ( inside your house), no need touch your home devices

Simba has just installed ONT. He tested speed was only about 1.5g

is there any plans to check why so low and rectify?

or just a shrug, "liddat one lah, not my job" and no further action?

or point to fine print "up to 2.5Gbps", shrug, and no further action?

on the other hand, can view it as a 1Gbps on the cheap
