The best speed I have seen so far is about 1.8Gbps download and 1.1Gbps upload, for SIMBA 2.5Gbps plan.

1.8Gbps download speed is in line with those dual 1Gbps plans with Dual WAN Load Balancing.

Try different SpeedTest server as well. SingTel SpeedTest server seems to be the better one now.

Make sure you use SpeedTest App and not browser.

But anyway 1.5Gbps download and 1Gbps upload are good for a S$21.8 per month plan (9% GST included).

I'm using Whizcomm 1Gbps ONT mode, had upgraded to 2.5Gbps but not yet reset ONT, in order to enjoy 2.5Gbps need to reset my ONT to ONR mode... and is 2.5 split on all the ports on the ONR..
contract ending jun... now paying $35+

So now try Simba .... but I see the speedtest... like very unstable like this... at time uppppp... at time lowwww

To test the real capability of an Fibre Internet plan, you should really use WIred Test using a PC/Mac with 2.5G network adapter.

If you use wireless to carry out test WiFi 6 router, it is difficult to get above 1.6Gbps download speed. For mid-end AX router like Asus TX-AX6000 (China version of TUF-AX6000), most likely you may not hit above 1.2Gbps download speed.

yeah i understand to test full speed is use lan.. i just want to gauge roughly what mine new router with new simba will get..

ONT yes -- one 2.5G LAN port, no digital voice.
Router No -- you have to source for your own router. It is better to get routers will dual or more 2.5G ports, like Asus TUF-AX6000 or GT-AX6000, or you can get cheaper China versions (Asus TX-6000, Xiaomi BE7000, etc).

No where near 2.5g even with direct lan connection to ont. My laptop is 2.5Gb capable.

Can share what router are you using?

I overlap my service. Since u can have 2 fibre connection from 2 different vendor.

For nlt installation.. Will the technician come in to house? Or they just do outside.? No phone call before hand.. No sms also..

I think if NLT no come to activate, Simba ONT come also no use. usually if NLT postpone, the ONT will also postpone.

usually the NLT tech will ask the customer to sign some paper to prove that they had activate the port and tested the signal strength.

If the customer didn't sign anything and yet the port is activated that means, the NLT tech activate the port and without testing the signal from inside the house and the tech 'sign on-behalf' for the customer.

ahh , nope did not sign anything yesterday. just receive whatsapp reminder ONT 9-12 today .. still not here lol .. will they come and realise no NLT ytd ?
