I am more interested in this model than XiaomiBE7000, how much is the shipping? Total cost? Thanks

I am using 3rd party shipping (淘宝集运) by sea, which is pretty cheap, probably less than S$2. But you need to wait for about three weeks to one month to get the stuff. GST always applies with shipping by sea. Total cost should be less than S$130 (RMB599 for the ZTE BE7200 router, plus 9% GST, plus S$2 shipping, roughly S$126).

just a question on when/where gst is collected, and whether it is automatically included in the quoted price (based on your location, sg)?

since it is 3rd party shipping, do they collect GST? (since it probably is transparent to the vendor)

tks

if you ship to 3rd party freight forwarder warehouse, the 3rd party forwarder collects GST.

If you use official consolidated shipping to SG, taobao collects GST.

Taobao will only collect GST if the destination address is in SG.

The shipping company in China will pay the GST. You pay the shipping company the shipment fee plus GST.

Just got off the phone with a lady from the ONT sub-contractor.
She said it’s possible to self collect and install the ONT after NLT appointment.

Has anyone done this before? Just submitted a request as directed through their online webform. But it normally takes a while for them to reply..

The better question is does SIMBA allows this and then can waive the installation fee of $50, which I find it odd, since other telcos do allow self-installation.

Anyways, hope the price war begins soon with the other smaller players esp VQ which does not provide mobile services, that's the best part.

Apart from true 2.5gbps from ONT, i dont see how simba better than whizcom ?

CGNAT is especially the deal breaker, having sharing public ip address with others you will need to deal will gaming issue or block by some website. Some cloud hosting even do bandwidth control on single ip to prevent traffic hoarding. The worst thing for power user is you cant do port forwarding.
If your ip got ban, you cannot change it or do anything about it. .wait until ur session got rotated to next ip or it may not even happen.

The come billing, really quaterly or 1/2 year payment? u can see how much simba dont trust Singapore. lol
Are they scare you run off with their ONT ?

Then you will start seeing more page(behind cloudflare) with are you human because dosen of people access same server from same ip address is abnormal.

Then the ads, i got super annoy when when public address change, instead showing lazada or shopee, i am seeing online casino or private massage.

I would even pay more to avoid CGNAT at all cost.

The only accepted solution they provide ipv6 with ipv4 CGNAT, at least there is work around.

Yes CGNAT without IPv6 support is a deal breaker for power users.

On the other hand, ONR is a deal breaker for Whizcomms for me as well, even more than CGNAT.

To be honest, IMHO, WC 2.5Gbps using ONR is worse than WC 1Gbps using ONT, at least for my use cases where I need to be able to use my own router's full capabilities. I will not go for either one. But if you force me die die must choose one, I would actually go with SIMBA.

Anyway, I think both are for users who value LOW COST more than other things. And both should be OK for typical users, who will not care about either CGNAT or ONR.
