Dunno why but the signal quality/speed feels no different. Is it need new phones to support this new band?

Their coverage has been going down, with frequent dropouts along even above ground mrt lines. Will test if there is any difference over the upcoming weekThe keyword is coverage here and not speed. Speed is not the strong point of 700NHz band.
And if your are has already good coverage, then you may not see improvement in signal quality either. The SingTel news article says area like Tuas, Kranji, Sungei Kadut, Changi East and Jurong Island, may see more significant improvement.

Signal availability has increased, with lesser areas of dead spots. But still equally laggy and slow.Their coverage has been going down, with frequent dropouts along even above ground mrt lines. Will test if there is any difference over the upcoming week

For signal strength, I guess the phone models also played a part. One good example is my work place lift, when I am using iPhone or S25U, in the middle of the call sure line cut off. Recently, I got the ROG Phone 9 Pro, I could talk through out the call in the lift without being cut off. When putting 3 phones side by side to do speed test, usually ROG 1st (signal full bar) follow by iPhone 16PM (Signal not full bar 3-4 bars) and S25U (Signal on the low1-2 bars). Above are what I observed on different phone models.Really see improvement in terms of 5G SA coverage. I live and work in the West side.
Last time never get SingTel 5G SA at work (west side), always 5G NSA or 4G, now got SA at where I sit, even though there are still quite some weak signal areas in the building where I can only get NSA. Signal loss may still happen in the lift.
Any experts here can help with this question?https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/5g-plus
What is the 5G+ Master Plan?
Introducing the next-gen evolution of our 5G network. We call it Singtel 5G+ and you are at the heart of our Master Plan.
It’s an advanced “network slicing” innovation that delivers a new standard of connectivity and priority experiences for all our customers. Put simply, you get to choose your “slice” of our network which dynamically adapts to your needs.
Now, that changes everything but you don’t have to do anything. If you are on a Singtel 5G plan, you are already on 5G+. And if you want more, you can get on 5G+ Enhanced; or always be first with 5G+ Priority.
What is the Singtel 5G+ speed range?
Stay ahead with superior speeds on the Singtel 5G+ network:
5G+: Download speed of up to 1Gbps, Upload speed of up to 100Mbps
5G+ Enhanced: Up to 2X faster
5G+ Priority: Up to 4X faster
Oh yeah. Recently mine too, on zym. Previously was on 80 to 90. now can get over 120mbps upload![]()
First time i see 5G speedtest upload was over 100 Mbps

ping also went down, now around 12ms
No. It ensure you get priority speed in the case of network congestion. Signal strength still the same.Any experts here can help with this question?
What does this actually means? Does this affect the signal bars shown on the status bar? Like lower dBm?
the true test will be upcoming gaga concert or bigger events like NDP.No. It ensure you get priority speed in the case of network congestion. Signal strength still the same.
like say during a concert got many people. Those who are on normal SingTel 5g will lag or not able to surf. Those who are on SingTel priority will be able to surf.
Thank you for the explanation! No. It ensure you get priority speed in the case of network congestion. Signal strength still the same.
