In fact, I signed up 1 week ago so it's been long enough. Called Singtel but they couldn't pinpoint the problem. They merely insist that their system is showing my plan as 5G+ and my SIM card is compatible.

To add on, I do not have the option to select 5G Standalone or something similar.
IMHO.
I read yours should have the Enhanced Network Lane: 2X Speed, maybe you can ask them if they are going to give you rebates. :ROFLMAO:

I see.

Maybe you try to disable the 2G service thingy and see if that helps.

No more 2G/3G networks in Singapore.

@Tippytoe
IMHO.
Can also try to reset network setting on your Samsung S25 Ultra.
Already reset the network.. below are the things I've tried:
1. Changed APN.
2. Changed from physical SIM to eSIM.
3. Reset network.
4. Phone is on the latest firmware.
5. Monitored different locations.

I had the exact same problem as you with SingTel 5G $15.28 plan. I am using a S23U. Same screenshot as yours too.

Once I swap to Eight 5G I can see the 5G SA option. I explained in my previous posting.

For context, I signed up for SingTel 5G main mobile plan with device, in 2023 and I remember seeing the option of "use 5G standalone networks". In 2025 I did a re-contract to SIM only $15.28 plan and no longer saw the option for 5G SA. The SIM shows 5G NSA.

Yesterday I signed up for Eight 5G. When SIM was inserted automatically I saw "use 5G standalone network" option appear. SIM card option shows 5G SA.

I'm now begining to wonder if the SingTel SIM only 5G $15.28 plan is a 5G NSA plan and not SA. Thus, it's clearly not a SIM card issue but actually how SingTel provisions the SIM Only plan. They are not wrong as it is still 5G just that they don't tell you NSA or SA.

I ported from Gomo to Singtel and I remember seeing the '5G standalone network' option too prior.

Questioned Singtel & they said different service provider (even Gomo vs Singtel) have their ways of binding the networks (or whatever they phrase it). As such, they kept insisting there's nothing wrong on their end. I was even advised to check with Samsung; the usual taichi game.

Strange that two users got the same problem are using the same Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Further discussions in the SingTel SIM Only thread.
