sj4000 vs gopro3

The thing about SJ4000 is that it has an LCD screen.
u know what you filmed with an LCD screen. Gopro doesn't. But of course, Gopro has a LCD back add on that you purchase separately. Price sgd134.
Lastly, if you're a diver, only gopro has accessories for red filter currently. Sj4000 would lose out in this unless some merchant starts creating red filter attachments. If it does, your choice as a diver will be gopro. I took it underwater sans the red filter and it filmed exactly what I saw. The blue the green the yellows are there at 20m. At 10m it wasn't as colourful already without the red filter. But it's image are clear, not dark, 1080, my fishes all swee swee but no color (red color gone after 10m)
Sj4000 comes with many mounts you may possibly need but gopro expects you to buy.
I found sj4000 easy to buy without deciding on accessories, mounts.. Extra costs.
On land, the sj4000 is almost on par with gopro. I just feel sj4000 is less vibrant, the colours don't wow as much, maybe I'm picky but if you're keen for snorkelling, on land, sj4000 is affordable and better suited.

Oh, for me, I filmed for almost 2-3hrs underwater & on land w sj4000 it was able to arrive to my hotel with sufficient batt to view my videos then go charge it at one corner. I dunno if gopro can tolerate if u add the LCD (sucks ur batt) and try to do the same.

Sony HDR-AS100 and Gopro black 3+ is a different class altogether. SJ4000 is value for money for those on budget/casual users.

SJ4000 is different concept in branding. This is more of generic part number than a brand.
Actually the solution is derived from car DVR adapting NTK chipset thus there is no official website.

PCBA and its components are easily available from the designated design house.
Most of the factory in China are only assembly house without strong R&D capability.
We need to engage good assembly house to have the consistent quality in finishing. OEM your firmware to differentiate your sets from others.

Now there is new version of chipset lurking in the market using different chipset. Buyers please beware on this.
Most important, buy from local reputable supplier to ease your mind.
Action cam are usually used brutally thus it is easily damage.
Having good service centre is a piece of mind.

It is affordable for my kids to play with it in the pool and outdoor filming.
better substitute than using $1k mobile phone for kids to play.

Went to challenger at funan and ask for a demo on sj4000. Salesperson just say don't have and not interested to sell the product.
When ask for spare batt also the same reply. Thus also not interested to get from them too. As I expect the attitude will not be gd thus me got elsewhere and tested out the video/photo quality was decent enough for my own usage.
Battery life was decent.
Continuous video recording for 1hr & 20min till battery flat on full hd.
Time lapse photo for 2hrs with 10sec interval still left 1bar of battery left.

We are working on new features mainly for RC flyer where they can record and stream video. Exploring if the current NTK chipset able to handle the processing.

No worries about the challenger service as it is like a "tradition" to them to service the customer like that mostly.
But Challenger Funan is the flagship & biggest store in whole sg without any demo set is a joke.(don't you agree?)
so far i'm doing fine with current SJ4000 and supplied accessories. Will PM you when i need more cam & accessories. thanks again.
Maybe you can consider other smaller shops to demo the product as major chain stores sales person don't really care about promoting. Just sell what is on the selves and price tag.
