Sleep problem

I day time cannot fall asleep, night time sleep straight 7-8 hours.
I can't sleep on afternoon during day time at work lol. Nap sometime during weekend to catch up sleep. My problem is having enough sleep on weeknight.

Nowadays I feel sleepy when it's just 8 plus 9pm. Don't know if it's coz older now. Last time can sleep for 8 hours or more. Now if I go to bed earlier, I wake up after a few hours then cannot sleep. If I went gym or v tired from work, can sleep for only an hour or two hours more.

I try taking melatonin but don't really work after a while. Anyone like that also? Any suggestion?
how old are you? what you described is quite similar to what i'm experiencing.
do you exercise regularly?
do you reach for your phone when you wake in the middle of night?

I force myself to run...the more terrible I feel the more I know I need to run.
just now I've a bad throbbing headache and I force myself to run

after abt 1.5km the headache disappears.
running always relieve these symptoms so bopian need to run

how old are you? what you described is quite similar to what i'm experiencing.
do you exercise regularly?
do you reach for your phone when you wake in the middle of night?
In range of 40s to 50s. so what you do to improve your situation? I go gym on weekend. Sometimes, cannot sleep then will surf phone. Sometimes fell asleep for a while, sometimes cannot.

is it due to stress eg relationship issue, work?
Not work I think, quite chill coz in same job for quite a while. Have issues, next day then resolve. Sometimes cannot sleep, mind will naturally wander then can't fall asleep.

Yes bro, as a bbfa I have to walk also better than nothing, can sleep like a log afterwards

For chronic insomnia will need to go hospital sleep clinic to get sleep medications

Your motivation I guess. by the time i get home, I'm tired.
Just wanna shower, have dinner, use phone for a while and sleep coz I usually feel sleepy when 8 or 9+ so I don't have much time after doing my things. If have any headaches, I sleep it off or if really bad, I take panadol.

ah.. we are about the same age.. i'm 49
not sure if you experience the same.. easy to fall asleep but keep waking in middle of night, sleep gets interrupted throughout basically.

i run very regularly.. like 5 days a week.
try to refrain from using device a couple of hours before bed and in bed
avoid caffeine after 2pm if you have trouble falling asleep
hit the bed early cause if you are going to get patchy sleep, at least patchy over a longer duration

maybe you can check if your room temp/humidity may be causing it?

Sleeping pill? i tried, scared cannot wake up for work. Took only on weekend for awhile then stopped. what other medicine can they prescribe?
