[Temperature] CPU & GPU idle & load running temp - Please share here!!

Hello, my i7 950 runs at 60+ at idle temp, hits 90+ when running bf3 (measured using Realtemp). Is that normal or should I start cleaning my heatsink? Although I do not know how to. Lol. (Thought I cld ask here since its a thread abt temperatures ).

im using i7 950 too and my cpu hover around 70+ mark on idle and reach 100 on half load.

just bought and install a cpu water cooler yesterday. dont have time to test it. but from what i see... idle temp drop to about 40c

think u should change cpu heatsink too...

60-70 degrees is high for idle.
Hot chips idle from 40-50 depending on room temperature and case.

These are my current rig's idle temp. Are they okay? Inside a very normal gigabyte casing, room temperature.

Overclocked AMD Phenom ii x4 B20 @ 3.4ghz with Deepcool gammaxx 400 cooler. Voltage not touched.

I find that the gpu idle like quite high leh. Feel like trying 3.6ghz with this cooler, wonder if can make it or not lol.

Edit: CPU is not at 3.2 GHz at all times, it underclocks under normal operation.

Is this temp normal? only firefox is running in an non-aircon environment.

Wah lau .... damn good. Must be the water cooling Cosair H100? Do you have the readings when you were using the normal HSF?

Took out my heatsink and tried to just dust it away without applying thermal paste, fixed it any temp still around the same. 70+ when idle. lol -_-. time to get my hands on a thermal paste..

Dude, don't use your PC without thermal paste on your CPU. You're going to fry it.

Even if you took the HSF off and left the thermal paste alone, you need to reapply it all over again as there will be air pockets in the paste if you just put it back on like that.

Yup using a H100i in pull config, nope, never used the stock HSF at all haha.
