no need.
root is for something more advance. For example normally if you backup Apps or software in your phone, it only backup the software without the user data (like your setting, your data you input into the software) because an app is unable to access another app's data for security purposes

You can break this security by rooting so that your backup software can do a full backup of your other app including your user data. Rooting has benefit as such security limitation on your device can be broken in order to do more things like what I mention above, BUT, rooting also means that your device will probably more susceptible to malware attack

so the choice is in your hand.

btw, i installed app2sd. but when open the app, i dont see anything to click to move my apps leh. any idea why?

my redmi has some weird wifi problem.

my 3G load Facebook, instagram and youtube images, video a lot faster than my starhub fiber wifi. anyone faces the same issue?

Method i tried to justify there is not a problem with redmi on board wifi:
i use my old iPhone 4 as a hotspot, redmi connected to it and it load images,video much faster than my starhub wifi.

im not a wifi pro, anyone can guide me along with it? best is anyone has the same D-Link DVG-N5402SP and on starhub fiber. anyone with redmi can paste me a screen shot of ur wifi setting of the router?? really appreciate it

My RedMi does not automatically connect to a known WIFI connection when the signal is stronger. It keeps staying with the WIFI that it first connects and stays there even though the signal is very weak.

What the hell man I still haven't received my redmi yet. Xiaomi better give us a goodwill gift if its gonna be delayed past the promised dateline
