yeap.... it takes on average 2-3k a month including enrichment, outings presents etc etc and all that to raise a kid from 0-12 years old. which is 24k a year.

Being a DINK couple does not guarantee they have more money than the couple with a family in old age.

What is certain is that the probability of the DINK couple, one will die alone is very very much higher.

everyone choice of lifestyle and wats make em happy is diff .
is the govt job to balance things out .. else it will come to a point like jap or Kor

It’s very sad to be born just so somebody needs you to take care of them in old age. I thought having kids is for joy of parenthood and so on but why so many here see their kids as retirement / companionship cus they scared of dying alone?

It is not because of that. Those who married late will find it difficult to have kids. As they tried and failed, they eventually gave up and make up an excuse to say they don't want kids.

You must know the underlying truth behind what people say. A normal couple will never get married and have a bto without wanting a kid in mind, but we don't 说破 that's all.

I asked a few friends, those that DINK really set their mind to it, really dont want kids. So it's not a matter of they tried but cannot, but really didn't want.

I've also friends who really wanted kids but couldnt have and they also say so. Not everyone is hiding such thoughts la.

I said wah now next generation jialat... but he just tell me... not my problem because they dont have kids... they only care about milking more and more money and go enjoy during older age...

How much are they earning? Their ceilings not high enough, still can get another BTO?
