Buy This Guys !! Very good video quality and cheap . Im staying at amk ave 5 #11 floor . I Can receive super clear HD5 , Digital 8 , CNN , TV mobile and all other cannot be view SCV channels . No FM though . Ya need to find ya " best spot " out at the window for the antenna , wrong placement will result in poor reception or TV mobile nia .

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.8309

Used a 5m USB extension cable to hook up with this tuner so it can stretch its antenna out to my window . Anything above 10ft will need a USB booster type extension cable . Bought my extension cable for $7 at mustafa .

Just wanna say THANK YOU VERY MUCH to thread starter and especially to LxIxVxE for showing the hybrid volar hx pic at #405.

Was thinking of getting avertv pci hybrid 007 until i saw the pic. Did some intensive research and finally decided to buy the usb hybrid volar hx (christmas edition).

Bought it at $93 cash (as stated in the pricelist) at Bell Systems at #05-68 SLS. Most other shops at SLS selling at $98 and some even at original $125. :) Didnt wanna wait for SITEX cause need to record some shows urgently.

Have not fully explored the capabilities of the stick yet. But manage to tune in to all digital channels including HD5 using default antenna at Toa Payoh area at 12th storey. Antenna is positioned at about 2.5m away from nearest window.

So overall, very happy with this product so far. :)

Following pic captured using latest avertv 6 reduced to 50% of original size.

Hi guys, what about the PowerColor Theater 650 Pro? A Tv tuner powered by the ATi theater 650 chip. Is it good for viewing digital and analogue channels?

not much choices avaliable locally~
avertv is ok and quite cheap~ :)

if u using lappy, or need to bring it ard, switch between pc, then get usb one lor~

if using desktop with spare pci slot or pci-e, then get internal one lor~
usually cheaper for same functions~
the extra money can be used to get cable or a powered antenna~ :)

Ok thanks, was worried that USB tv tuner may spoil more easily or may have stuttering when recording or viewing, etc heh.

Should just get a PCI one..

sometimes will see ppl complaining that their usb tuners get too hot and it becomes unstable~

cheap pci can consider the Avertv Super 007 Hybrid @ $75~
