TV tuner recommendation

My HVR1300 is a very old card.

Its an OK card, but due to aspect ratio issues, I always have two vertical black bars appearing at either sides of the screen (I am using a 24 inch widescreen monitor). Any idea how to remdedy it?

Do you have AverMedia brand USB tuner in SG?
This brand is good, they use their own software (not unstable TotalMedia), which is very stable and low resource consumption. On systems that marginally meet requirements, it performs very well. AverMedia is made in Taiwan not made in China.

Singapore, I think, is the first country in Asia started Digital TV broadcasting, but Digital TV is still not that popular. Other countries started late but get popular much faster.
