I using usb avermedia volar hybrid hx with the bundle antenna. The analog signals for all channels is super weak and total unwatchable. PC was about a few metres away from windows. Have try shifting the pc and antenna near the windows but signal still weak.

For digital, I can get normal ch 5 and 8 and HD5. Sometimes video was jerky too.

If get the powered antenna, do u think it will work? Where to get a cheap but good powered antenna? Thanks.

a good powered antenna cost $40 -$50, not cheap, i think yur location is the issue not the antenna

try put antenna at diff position, put near the top of open window, point antenna outside window

So expensive ar. But would a powered antenna help?
Also I currently using TotalMedia 3.5 from ArcSoft. Is it free?

powered antenna will help abit

TotalMedia 3.5 is not free , plays well.
TotalMedia 3 is free but dont play well

i use CyberLink PowerCinema to watch HD5, it plays smoother and support 5.1 sound

normal digital channels i just use avertv s/w to watch, not much diff from other s/w

u need to try out then will know one~ :(
can go make or buy a extension cable so that antenna is beside windows~
tv cable, not usb extension cable~

can try out those $5+/- rabbits ear antenna too~ :)
juz a V shape kind of antenna~
remember someone using that, claiming to be better than the bundled antenna~

average price of an powered antenna ard $30 at SLT~ :(

can try wrapping copper wire or aluminum foil to the antenna to make it longer, maybe can get better reception

From their own website, it seems that it doesn't support FM.
