I think better don't DIY and get a professional to install water heater coz there have been reports of people who got electrocuted and died because of water heater.

Water tank type or instant heater?

Just make sure main is off before working on it.

to save on installation fees, advisable to buy back the same brand and possibly same successor model e.g same size, same mounting and DIY, remember the basics of 3 pin electrical wiring and switch off mains before working on it. hardly nothing can go wrong in a year

I'm just wondering... is it more cost effective to keep the Storage heater ON or Turn it On as and when needed?

Other than online any recommended shops to go to?

I would like to install water heater at my place for 2 toilets.

At the same time would like to install the bidet hose as the original were removed due to constant leaking when we first moved in ages back.

New mirrors too.

Lookong at a place where I would be able to get these done. If I order the items separately from online, I would need to get an electrician and a plumber by myself which may incur higher costs or not reliable.

Any opinions?

Hi, I just bought a resale unit and previous owner is using gas heater. I have got experience only with storage and instant heate.
Was wondering what’s the pros and cons of gas heater. Anyone with experience can help give me advice?

Definitely the latter. You would not want your storage heater to constantly reheat the water inside it over the course of the day to maintain a certain temperature. Your electricity usage will definitely be higher.

Gas water heater does not use electricity to heat up the water. In general, your gas bills will be lower compared to using a electricity to heat up water. It should be fine unless water pressure is not high enough to give you satisfactory rain shower - in which case a storage water heater is needed.
