Try to use a rj46 adapter and use Ethernet cable to connect, after you got connection already then remove the cable and check for WiFi connection

Hi,

Unfortunately I'm the go-to guy for rooting these things from family, who always manage to get these things unrooted. >_<

Anyway, 1.3.87. The old method I use ("miboxIII root" in chinese characters) I used back in Jan thereabouts, doesn't seem to work anymore; it worked when the version was still 1.3.7x.

Now all it does is install SuperSU; When you try to run it it tells you the binary doesn't exist.
This means I can't proceed with installing Google Play.

Any help? Updated version of that batch file?

Hi,
There are plenty of guides in internet so I won't explain it in details.
Basically you use .apk files you store in a USB pendrive and then after you plug it in the box you install them, the xiaomi box allows such install from USB. There's first a so-called pojie (jailbreak) package to install then ShaFa market.
Seriously, all resources are in internet, just need to follow the step-by-step guides.
enjoy.

Do you have the link to the new .apk files? Thanks

Try mobdro, stable stream but in SD only

can watch cartoon network, afc, nat geo, discovery, tlc, history, etc....

HDPTv's picture quality is better, but the channel list is not stable, keep changing
