I observe that notifications from Instagram are always delayed..

Go to Battery & performance > Choose apps >

**Note: If your IG's notification is still delayed after turning the Battery saver off. You might have to put your IG app in Autostart if you have not done so.

Delayed notifications can be cause by either Battery Saver is turned On or the app is not in the Autostart or both.

Starting to regret switching over from EU rom. Will most likely revert back

1. No voice feedback with Google assistant
2. Uncertified Google play store
3. TWRP keeps getting overwritten with stock recovery
4. Notifications from various apps seem more retarded compared with EU rom
5. Notifications blind looks lame
6. Very limited themes

Thks, manage to bootup in 9.5.2.0 global after failed -flashing above eu. Funny now, Wi-Fi and hotspot can't be turned on, any workaround tips?
<UPDATE> anyhow humtum flash eu again, loaded in eu, which solved Wi-Fi/hotspot.

Non-WiFi HotieSpot no problem on my 2 Mi Max Prime running Global 9.5.2.0 leh! So, it should be no problem with Mi Max running Global 9.5.2.0 too!

May be some cocked up during upgrading by the Updater itself! Did you do a factory reset to fix the hotspot problem in Global 9.5.2.0 after noticing the hotspot problem?

Eu rom...some apps show Chinese wording! For example; Mobike app's "remaining time of riding" is shown in Chinese! WTF!

"Old age" problem, I guess! Probably needs to get a check and an organ replacement..

Global 9.5.2.0 has been a great rom!

I know that some people hate the new full blind notification but I'm liking it very much as the full blind notification displays more or full content of the notification at one glance!

For example; Google Traffic notification from Google map! I can see more traffic info on more roads/highways within a single full blind notification without the need to tap and activate Google map!

Also, that "Reply" button on texting apps are great and super practical!

The new Full Blind Notification has been very informative and practical!

**Note that you can tap on the "header" of each full blind notification to either hide/extent full content of the notification if you have long list of notifications waiting to be scrolled and read.

Get Mi Max 2 as Mi Max 1 is already a 2-years old product! Not worth it! Mi Max 2's camera is slightly better than Mi Max 1 too!

Both can be flashed with official Global Rom if your set is an Export set from China, provided you read up on how to flash!

Export set from India is already pre-loaded with official Global rom!

Check with your sellers! The best is that they are selling you the Export set from India.

I had that dilemma previously because the Max 1 had a faster processor and slightly cheaper than Max 2; Max 1 also had better custom ROM support.

After serious consideration I decided to go with Max 2 because the Snapdragon 625 is king of low temperatures and it's battery capacity bought me over.

I have been running my Max 2 on LineageOS Nougat and can easily manage 2 days of usage with moderate gaming on a single charge; It's a god send when I'm traveling.

The built on Max 2 is also slightly better with a full metal body.

If you want a faster processor, go Max 1, if not, stick to Max 2.

With 9.5, WhatsApp can recognize the custom tone in internal storage now! Previously, it can only recognize Default Notification tone or in root/system directory if you have rooted your phone.

So, now, you can assign your ownself created or imported custom tone (in Notifications folder) to WhatsApp without the needs to root in that context!

Is "ok Google" activated on your phone for 9.5.2.0? Could you test to see if there's voice feedback when you checking for weather updates?

Does TWRP get overwritten? (If you installed it as well)

Many people have reported that the reboot to twrp recovery failed and it reboots to Mi Recovery instead.

Probably that twrp folks need to come up with a new version to handle MIUI 9.5....
