Thanks for the feedback :D

The twrp issue is not that bad. It is just that after upgrading miui, we need to flash twrp again and then reroot.

It is just 1 extra step in less that 2 minutes of extra process.

Before 9.5, we just need to reroot as twrp recovery is intact.

Yes, after flash rom, use TWRP to root again. But I recommend magisk instead of SuperSU

TWRP to install superSUr.zip (same pattern as installing eu rom.zip). Why yours failed?

Anyway, Just Me is right! Forget about superSU.zip. TWRP Magisk.zip instead!

U gave me an idea. I can root my MI Max to rid those ads. Is there a new procedure for magisk?

It's excatly the same zip installation method via twrp but with an addition of Magisk Manager module (apk).

It is Magisk.zip + Magisk Manager.apk.

Head over here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445

Any one has any idea of the OTA update of mi max 1?

mine still MIUI 8.1.3.0.0 Stable
Yes now already in 9520 MIUI9.... Your phone never prompt for any update? From what I know either with global stable or development, will still received for any update message...

A 5 digits number.. Confirmed and chopped "fake" / modified rom from seller which would not get any updates.

What you can do is to miflash it to official rom but it will be a total wipe out method.

There after, your phone will get all the official updates as per normal.:)

You have to backup all your stuffs first before doing the miflash.

Miflash is an official tool and method from Xiaomi.

What do you mean by photos and organized them in folders?

Are the photos taken using the camera and how did you "create" folders for them?

Yup I did. Strange.

Some are taken from camera, some are sent to me. So they all appear in gallery, and I add them to folders and rename those folders.

Hmmm...They should be in the DCIM folder. Have you browsed that folder?
