eu rom is a custom rom made by debloating China rom and adding google services. OTA can be used on this rom. Vendor rom is made by each seller to include adware and will never receive an update.

Think it is needed. But once it is unlocked, this also means other can get access to your phone/data if you happen to lost your phone.

Locking bootloader is for your security. In anycase, I think Xiaomi phone has many security issue. WiFi password is one. You only need to tab share WiFi password at WiFi setting, once the QR code appear, use another QR code reader and your WiFi password is exposed. So Becareful.

Certainly, you want a source that can be trusted, a company that is willing to take up the responsibility when something happen. Using freeware is at your own risk.

Any issues with the latest eu Rom's Bluetooth? used to be able to connect to home devices. now can't even detect them.

Got my permission to unlock. Face another problem, "current account is not bound to this device".
My phone do not have xiaomi account and in order to bind it, i need to go to developer, but it's now in bootloop. Is there other solution to it?

Apologies for the lack of update, been very busy lately.
This early morning, I finally take some action and it's a success!!!


Sharing my method.
Flash in EDL mode.

I edited the fastrom before flashing. In "rawprogram0.xml", I remove line "userdata.img", to prevent data from losing.

In miflash beta, detect hp, select ROM, select save user data click flash and pray...
After some 12xx seconds, flash success, extremely happy and lucky all data intact.


Currently trying to back all data, just in case.

Hmmm...They should be in the DCIM folder. Have you browsed that folder?

Yup I did. Strange.


Some are taken from camera, some are sent to me. So they all appear in gallery, and I add them to folders and rename those folders.

Very weird. When I open up gallery there are two tabs. Photos and albums. I can add folders in albums and transfer photos there, but when I get to the com I can't see any of those at all.
