yes correct. be patient after choosing zip file and the phone restarts, the turning circle will go on for a few minutes, eventually it will continue to update.

Wonder what will happen when the 2G signal is switched off next year. Since there will no longer be a 2G signal to drop down to, does that mean the signal should stay on 3G?

trying to flash to global 8.1.1, but not able to.

When i use “Choose update package” tab, it will say 'Install File Explorer First'
When i use Fastboot, it show successful within 1 sec after i click on 'Flash'... But nothing else happened...

Any idea?

Wah sian, my father's Galaxy A3 died now during our holiday and he's currently without a phone now.
Was considering the 3S for him as a phone to tide him over till his contract is eligible for recontract but the network issue may not be something he want.

Like that I have to maybe get a export Redmi Note 3 or some cheap Samsung.

Hello all....

i already used Redmi 3S for almost 2 weeks... What I can say that the specs for this phone is fantastic... BUT mine has few hickups

1) It will shutdown itself and happen few times
2) Few times hang and lags which I have to make hard reboot
3) WORST one is I am not able to use Waze as it shows an error : No GPS. Showing Approximate Location.

For the issue #3, I have tried to trouble shoot myself by formatting the phone, uninstall and install the Waze apps and also installing the GPS Status & Tool but still to the problem not resolved. Anybody had this issue? Any idea to fix this... I still need to use this phone for work purposes. I can't afford to wait for the phone to be fixed at the service centre as it might take few days to be 'warded'....

The service centre may suggest to change the main board which takes about 2 hours.

your set is faulty, send to service center. the wait is bo bian 1.
