The camera patch works ?

For me the patch installed without issue but the photos are still saved in the internal memory.

Yes, did a few test shots and verify that they are saved in memory card

- from built in explorer app
- details page under "More" option

New firmware doesn't include a fix for the camera function to save to sd.
need to gather more people to screw them and make them understand what we really want. Otherwise this sd card slot is just a useless hardware that none of the firmware make use of it.

I'm not sure if this is the normal behaviour. I started using the phone without an sd card, but added one later.

In the folders, I have storage/sdcard0 pointing to my device directory, and the new sd card is at storage/sdcard1. When I have app that look for files in sdcard, it actually end lookiing in sdcard0 instead of sdcard1.

Is sdcard0 pointing to device a default behaviour? If not, how can I make sdcard0 point to my actual sdcard?

Can share why saving photos to SD is so important to you? Just curious ...

Unless you are a photographer that takes a lot of photos/videos .. but even then, you cant rely on the Note's sub-par cam right?

it's a basic function in even cheap china/indian market phones

it allows for convenient utilisation of the sd card slot

if you want to ask "why do you even need" to the strictest sense of "need", then everything falls apart. why do we even need a 5.5" phone? why do you even need a touch screen phone? why does anyone even need a mobile phone?

1.no added function for SD card.
2. Unable to set up email account.

Then why there is a SD card slot in the phone for?
is it for show or just dummy display?

In the meantime there is a fairly simple workaround. Use Astro File Manager or similar to manually move your photos from sdcard0 to sdcard1. Not that hard.

For me, I find that the 8gb or the effectively 6gb of free space on the phone to be quite limiting. I rather use that to just install apps in since without rooting, I cannot install and run apps on the sd card.

I do walk and at times I do take candid pictures or video clips of my food and anything interesting along the way. Granted the note is not the top of the line camera but it is sufficient for daylight pictures. Something is of cos better than nothing.

As a iphone user, moi encountered some frustrating and teething problems of setting up moi Note initially, like can't use whatsapp cos "NO WHATSAPP CONTACT" even moi had closed to 50 contacts (all had their whatsapp installaed).

luckily, moi fren help and guided moi to overcome all the problems and now ish a heypi xiaomi Note user.

wahlau, the download speed ish super fast. moi dl the 100 hokkien song apps within 3 seconds whereas it take more than 5 min for iphone. DL other apps also take less than 3 seconds (wifi).

started to love moi Note nao. :s12::s12::s12:

only set back ish no apps available in the Google Play for EDMW. :(

Click on your order number just above. Not apparent to me at first.

the order number doesn't have any hyperlink. order shows SHIPPED but above states "Preparing for Shipment" till now ever since 6 Aug Processing Order. My previous order don't have this problem. let's wait and see. Maybe their system have problem.
