Flashed all 3 Ax9000 (2 CN , 1 Gobal) so far so good.
BUT flashing Gobal version of Ax9000 is not recommended. There is a 50% chance that it will bricked.

Why do you want to do that?

People may want to have English web GUI. Some users may need Singtel VLAN support (for Singtel ONT users only). I believe the global version should support Singtel VLAN for Singtel ONT users.

But from the earlier answer it seems to be risky.

All my xiaomi products are in Singapore regional. Only the router are in CN. Very troublesome to keep toggling.

Is it worth to flash from CN to Global?
Short answer is No.
Why is there a need to keep toggling after you have set it up?

the Global firmware is dated 2021 Dec.
the CN firmware is dated 2022 July.

Additional information on why going from CN to Global is not recommended.

xiaomi ax10000 available now, with 2.5gbps and 10gbps ports. would be interesting to see how it fares against the ax9000

Chinese review: CPU is much faster now with IPQ9570 (Quad Core Arm Cortex A73 2.2GHz). Interface is also much better. However, the RF components are not as good. Overall the price performance ration is high at only RMB1799. Current FW is not good yet so there are good potential.

Anyway, Xiaomi router FW has never been good, kind of wasting the good HW components used.

Another Chinese review: the wireless performance is decent. Stability at high load is not that good (but this is normally not a problem for most users).

Is it possible to get the router from China and use in Singapore?
yes you can.

I bought the chinese version of AX3600 to use locally.

Unless you need to use the VLAN functions, then you need the international version.

This is what I had gathered from reading the comments over at the AX3600 thread.

Is vlan useful? How much do you save getting chinese version?

Any owners of ax9000 still using it? Hope anyone can shed some solutions.

Recently installed Pihole to utilise my raspberry pi 4b lying around.
Discovered a device on my network keep pinging xxx.pool.ntp.org a lot. I.e 192.168.1.24

I wanna find out which bugger is doing that, but I realiSe I got problem finding it on router admin page. At DHCP section.
The closest way to it is IP reservation section where I can reserve IP for specific device thru it’s MAC address.
Even at this part I can’t find the device that using .24 yet pihole detected this IP has been top host doing requests.
I’ve resort even using Miwifi app scrolling thru the connected device list but with no avail.

anyone have any tips to view the IP table list? Will really appreciate any constructive answers! Happy new year!

EDIT: found it. its my mesh router ax6000, out of desperation, i access 192.168.1.24 it opens my mesh partner router log in page! :D
Wah! How big is your house? Need 1 x Mi Router AX9000 + 1 x Mi Router AX6000?

Yes this seems to be the case for AX routers.

However, the USB port may or may not be that important if you use Xiaomi Stock FW. As per the review, USB SSD read/write performance is good, but then the overall router FW feature of Xiaomi AX9000 is rather limited which is kind of not matching the excellent hardware. So it depends on your use case.

currently using Mi Router 3 pro, I'm considering upgrading options for wifi6 and retaining the mini Nas function via usb port.

However this ax9000 abit too highend at near $300 for my usage (500mbps plan) sadly :o

Sent from Poco F3 using EDMWER app!

If you take a bit of risk and buy the China version from Taobao, Xiaomi AX9000 is about RMB 959 (S$185.5). Even after adding GST/shipment fee, it should be about S$200 plus.
