A) What is a "Verified Account" forum user?
A Verified Account badge is accorded to a forum account that has been verified to represent a social media personality, celebrity or a political figure. This means the HWZ Forums team has confirmed the authenticity of an account and has granted them official rights to use the forum for their communication or publicity needs. A “Verified Account” badge will also appear on top of the username to clearly identify the forum user.
A Verified Account user is a paid scheme that will allow such a user to participate in any and all forum sections across the HWZ Forums for the active duration of the scheme and are bound by all of the forum’s Terms of Service. All social media personality, celebrity or a political figure will require to have a verified account in order to use the forum. If your account falls under the mentioned categories, please write in to hwzmembership@sph.com.sg, for the subscription plan.

b) How do I request for a verified badge for my account?
To request a verified badge, please write in to hwzmembership@sph.com.sg, using the email address that was used to register the account, with the necessary details listed below.
c) What are the requirements to apply for a verified badge?
We look at a number of factors when evaluating accounts to determine if they're in the public interest and meet our verification criteria.
In addition to following HWZ Forums's Terms and conditions, your account also needs to be: Notable: Your account must represent a well-known, searched for person. We review accounts that are featured in multiple news sources, and we don't consider paid or promotional content as sources for review.
Keep in mind that if you provide false or misleading information during the verification process, we will remove your verified badge and may take additional action to delete your account.
d) What happens after I apply for a verified badge?
Once we review your request, you'll receive a notification letting you know if your account has been verified or not. You will need to make the payable amount to SPH Magazines Pte Ltd within 3 working days from the notification email. If we do not receive the payment by stipulated time, we will suspend the account.
If your request is denied, you can submit a new request after 30 days.
Keep in mind that HWZ Forums can remove verified badges at any time, and may take away your badge or disable your account if you fail to comply with the SPH’s Terms and conditions.
