my bp was crazy high a few months at 190.
poly dr give me 2 kinds of medicine.
manage to control down to around 150.

when i started doing like exercise like walking, after a week, it drops to good level.
but must keep doing exercise.
once stopped, bp go up again.

How long do you walk and what's I your frequency, i think i need to start walking too

At least 20 mins or more (better).
During that period, I was able to do every other day.
Walking is very effective, no need for strenuous exercise.

Yes, financial stress. Taking care of a toddler, not enough sleep. It all adds up.

then if u add those like consultation fees, lab test...... is costly also.

A box of 40-milligramme Micardis tablets, for high blood pressure, costs RM62 in Johor and about S$53 in Singapore, she cited. A box of 10-mg Lipitor tablets, meanwhile, costs RM108 and about S$76 respectively.

Asthma puffer Ventolin costs RM24 compared to S$21, while Elomet sells at RM29 compared to S$18. Essentially, the medications Ng cited were more than 50 per cent cheaper in Johor than in Singapore.

To avoid taking in enormous amounts of sodium, one needs to eat hawker food sparingly. If you feel very thirsty after eating a particular stall, obviously there must be like 3000-5000mg of sodium in that meal. WHO recommends 2000mg sodium per day.

One seriously needs to learn how to read nutrition labels, recognise the high hidden sodium in processed food products especially the sauces added to cooked food or use to prepare food.

Lastly add enough natural food like unsalted nuts, legumes, fruits and vegetables to your daily diet.

Ilthe first one trade name is twnysta ( amlodipine and telmirsatan combination). this is quite expensive.. actually I started this tablet when I was in Korea and the locals GP here also was continuing this..

Now I am taking cheaper alternatives from overseas.. it would be good if I can get the prescribed ones from the polyclinic..

The doctor at Punggol blood donation centre said if u take one bp medication, its okay to donate blood. however, if u take dunno how many different types then u cannot. I cannot remember if the figure was 2 or 3.

however, quite sure that one medication can donate.

Singapore ones are not really subsidises imho, better to buy from JB cos so much cheaper.

are u bbfa? u do consume alot of sugar? ie Sugar drinks, lotsa of white rice, lotsa of noodles, chips, heavy carbs? Btw, your body do not differentiate coke or rice, they are all sugar, they all convert to glucose, its all same to body.
