I haven’t started. Want to persuade the doctor not to start me. My BP is mostly good except morning tend to be higher, then at the clinic always higher too.By stopping the intake of HBP med, u run the risks of having HA and stroke. Tink twice ya
So now you still drinking everyday? It brought your BP from how high to how low? In the oden days, the elders always consider coconut water as very liang, you take so much your body can take it?Had it before. Try drinking 1 real fresh coconut water per day (not the carton type, use the one that you literally had to cut with knife). Do it for at least 3 months. After that, drink it 2x/week although the more is better.
It helped me to keep it at normal level until my doctor also confused.
Me. Hbp. 186/103. 1.71m 74kgAnybody currently on high blood pressure medication? Feel free to share here. My personal history
My height and weight is normal. 170 and 55kg
diagnosed with HBP about 6 months back. Been on medication since and about a month back additional medication was added as my bp hit 188/126 while I was working. Company doctor send me to A&E immediately after a couple of hours observation discharged from hospital.
I do not drink coffee at all since teenage days
If you don't walk into the doctor's clinic looking like a bodybuilder but a typical BBFA, the doctor is likely to conclude that you are overweight because of eating, and not bodybuilding.BMI is already a good indicator for general population.
Unless you are like @moonraiser type. High BMI but due to muscle mass and weight lifting.
So general population with high BMI will most likely have higher chance of chronic diseases.

started taking daily medication 5 years ago when I can no longer control with exercise & diet, rising to 180/90 at one time (other than occasional bouts of migraines & aching shoulders, no other side effects noted). now maintain at 150/70 after medication
Yep take every meal in moderation. That's the key wordsThe human body is really so complex.
Coconut, papaya, and banana are rich in potassium which counteracts sodium, and we know that high sodium intake is a cause of high BP. So one wedge of papaya a day, or for a change to - to add some variety to meals and enjoyment, a banana instead on other days - would be a good way to balance up the sodium.
But if we go eat a whole bunch of bananas, seven or eight of it, every lunch and dinner, daily, that's eating monkey food. I suppose it does not harm the monkey but for us, it is as what you wrote.
That's why we all say, eat everything in moderation. If we do that in the first place, we would not even have consumed too much of the bad stuff that cause high blood pressure, diabetes and bad cholesterol. Then, a banana or a wedge of papaya is perfectly fine as these form part of a balanced diet.
This?
for me it started at my right shoulder after wake up one morningIf it's the left shoulder that's constantly aching best to consult a doc
When the heart weakens with age they have to cut back on water to reduce the load.Yep take every meal in moderation. That's the key words
I told my mom not to give my dad too much water, she insist everyday 8 full cup. In the end my dad ended up in ICU cos bloated. Then doc say cannot take too much water cos his kidney is not functioning well. That time still not on dialysis.
Every volume muz be even lesser now as my dad now on dialysis
Careful with potassium. Some meds eg Ibersatan retains potassium in your body. Also rich in potassium.

Not sure if you have seen this before in horsepeters (below). It's an IV drip that releases water into the body slowly to prevent dehydration. Our body does need water.Yep take every meal in moderation. That's the key words

Your HBP is not really genetics.I am almost the same height ahd weight like u. 1.69m and 54kg. We are actually very lean .
My BP uses to be 130 and when I nervous such as medical check up and could go 170 to 180. My BP is due to genetics. All my family members are like that.
But when I took up running many years ago. My BP maintain below 120 liao . I never have any medication .
So exercise regularly make a BIG difference
