Wow, such high income. Different people different needs and wants. If you and your gf will be contented with 3 room, I'm sure that's good enough. At least that's the case for me.

for own stay or investment? Basically bigger unit pray for bigger price appreciation, smaller unit smaller price appreciation but easier to rent out entire unit. So 4RM i guess is somewhat in between :s13:

As long as you don't outlive the space in a 3 room flat over the next decade plus at least (in consideration of construction time, MOP and subsequent hunt for a new place), it is a strategic decision that will help secure a place.

Do u have plans to have kids after married? How many kids? It depends on your life goals. What if you end up with 1 son and 1 daughter? How do they share the bedroom as they growing up?

thats very much my only concern by far when deciding for a house to kickstart my new family. considering the fact that getting a 4r flat without priority and in a premium location like dakota is almost impossible, i slide myself a little below to relook into 3r instead.

and for other hopeful applicants, i applied for 5 times in mature estates and failed to even get a queue number. (4r flats) :s22:

Results should be out mid-July, and selection between end-July and end-January, depending on your queue number. Might be good to renew the HLE, but I heard HDB is normally willing to extend it a little for cases like this.

Have you been to the HDB showflat for 3rm or seen a recent 3rm BTO? Think most might be concerned with the small space, especially if you want to have kids. It's not just one less room, the kitchen and living/dining area are also smaller.

Also for this project, there are 113 units for Breeze and 183 units for Pine. So gotta be mentally prepared to pick a unit from Pine (which is together with only other 2 room units, I know some people don't like it) if no good queue number.

Btw I did the same thing last year to get a 3rm unit near the MRT at Bidadari. I think the subscription rate is lower for a reason - the living space is really kinda small. Just whether you can accept or not.

It's all about luck. I have friends who applied once and got it for the bidabari while others applied many and didn't get it

I think that would limit to the certain 3 room flat?
Cause I rmb one has a limit of 5k while another is 12?

PPS and MCPS applications are listed under the Public Scheme. Just make sure you have filled in your details of your child as required on the application.

Hi bros, would just like to ask in this scenario, if i have selection of flat in Jun 2017 (very lousy number), and applied for the May 2017 BTO, for which result is announced in July 2017: Can I select the flat in June 2017 and then select again if I have a better number for the May 2017 BTO? Or once I select flat in Jun 2017, it will mean I forgo the May 2017 balloting?

I'm sure many people are aware that the 0.9 ratio for 3 BR is sure to guarantee a unit. Just don't be shocked when you see how small a 3 BR unit is. It's more suitable for elderly or singles. Good luck if you plan to have kids/pets or need lots of space for your stuff.

Actually not really small la, I mean nowadays cleaning the house is already headache unless u have helper then is ok la. If u planning to have only 1 kid I think 3 bedroom is good enough.

Once u have selected a unit in June, u have to forgo May'17 balloting.

hahhaa the whole idea is to quickly secure a house - much after my 5 failed attempt at BTO/SBF. And saving enough while paying off the loan for the house in lesser years, before upgrading to private.

dakota proves to be a strategical location, especially the number of good schools around it. kong hwa is definitely one that i will aim for, if i got a kid.

yet again this is subjective. i do not think of hdb bto as the final place that i will stay. its just a kickstart package introduced by the govt - a subsidised one, almost guaranteed yield - a prized asset in short. So the question is, will you sweat over 20 years paying 600k or 10 years paying 300k? thats almost the price difference you are seeing between a 4rm and 3rm. Without any hope or agenda, i target to own 2 property within the next 10 years. at least thats a plan. =:p
