Let say got 100 units, 85% reserve for first timer and 15% for 2nd time in non-mature estate.

First time only 0.1 ratio then only about 9 applicants vying for 85 units, for 2nd timer with 15 units allocated for their group and u have 2.0 = 30 applications vying for 15 units..

Aka 0.1 applicant to a unit for FT and 2.0 applicant to a unit for ST..

Just want to add that the ratio doesn't take into account racial quotas. Meaning that you'll have to drill into the details of how many flats are available for your race, and then make educated guesses on how the racial breakdown is.

So it's kind of a crapshoot.

Im also stuck with 3 options. My parents want me to stay near them, husband wants near school, i want it near mrt.

Add all 3 factors and it'll be the unholy trinity, similar to cheap, fast and good. Getting 2 still possible but want all 3, either pay or it doesn't exists.

in the actual balloting , are these 2 categories separate or are they really lump together and ballot as a whole?

When you applied, does it show both together as Jurong East/West or separated?

If yes then separate ballot, if not then should be lump together..

Marsiling greenview seems good but need to walk abit to reach mrt. But since young i dont have good feeling on that area.. last time in school people said a girl was molested on the hill there.. people suicide etc..

WALAO single above 35 cannot apply for SBF in non-mature estate too leh!

Singles above 35 only can apply for SBF in non-mature estates (very little chance anyway).
