Guys on Retina MacBook Pro 2014. Can I confirm that plugging in to a projector/TV or through HDMI causes the MacBook not be able to extend the display?

SystemUIServer would also spike to 100%

I finally managed to download Yosemite. As what Bro maxheadroom said, set your router LAN DNS primary and secondary as 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 respectively.

Then click on About this mac, and select software update from here. And finally click download Yosemite at the VERY page you are allowed to. Do not click on other tabs ie Purchases to download. It did not work for me.

Wait awhile and download will start in no time. The above worked for me. Give it a short and feedback.

You shouldn't redirect it to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4
Because you'll most likely be assigned a US server instead of a SEA/Singapore server.

You can try creating a new user account and trying downloading it from the new user account's App Store. (at least that's what worked for a friend)

Using a late 2013 15 rMBP.

After updating to yosemite I notice that sometimes after rebooting, or if i plug an external monitor, my macbook's display reverts back to the "best for display" scaling.

Also this is not a yosemite specific problem but since mavericks i notice that my login items occasionally disappear when booting up my laptop.

nope. go to about this mac, click on system report and look under bluetooth to see if your system supports handoff

Recovery partition not upgraded to 10.10 after installing Yosemite. Anyone facing same issue?

So far mine working great. Do restart your Idevice, sign off & on your apple ID and let your bluetooth on. At least it how during my beta 1 Yosemite troubleshooting.

Make sure you they connected the same bandwidth as well. 5ghz or 2.4ghz

Once you had success, be prepare that all your idevice ring together insane!!!

The new Notification Center is quite nice, especially with the range of widgets. Was wondering, given the iMac's 27inch screen, is that any way to keep Notification Center open all the time on the screen, instead of it sliding back every time u click elsewhere on the screen?

I keep getting "This copy of the Install OS X Yosemite application can't be verified. It may have been corrupted or tampered with during downloading." despite googling and doing all the possible remedies.

Its only about 868MB so I guess its corrupted.

finally managed to get cloak vpn and am able to download now... just that speed is a bit slow. I think this error only happens to M1 broadband? cos i'm using M1 fiber...

Hmmm so bluetooth on 2011 Macs(Air at least) can support handoff but they Apple blacklist it?

Might be because it cannot sustain or will cause performance issues

Oh well if you really want handoff...

Your automatic login disable is because you enable FileVault under security. Disable it should let you enable automatic login

Which mac are you using?

filevault is disable.
mbp mid 2010.
