Pay for it sure can...

BTW, not sure if there is even a 5G SA sim card. My 5G sim uses NSA which default to 5G signal, in area with no 5G coverage, it will use 4G instead.

If your 5G sim is SA, in areas without 5G signal, you are a dead duck.

????

Why would there not be LTE/3G when outside 5GNR SA coverage area?

Even USIM, which was developed in 3G days, can be used on 5GNR NSA, LTE and GSM.

If it's completely incompatible with 3G/LTE, all 5G customers don't need to have roaming already, since most roaming agreements is either capped at LTE or 3G...

Newer 5G sim supports SA, without 5G area you can still connect to 4G/3G…

if you don’t replace to newer 5G sim still can connect to NSA 5G. ( just without SA support )

Guys, can I check what happens to your phone when 5G is weak in a particular area? Does the network shut down with a 🚫 signage on your phone and then turn on again to 5G?

I've a dual SIM Samsung S23 Ultra. Main SIM for DATA is under Singtel and the other one is 4G with StarHub.

About once or twice a day while on 5G, the phone will lose connection. Both SIM cards will show 🚫🚫 and turn on again within seconds. Network which is on Singtel will show 5G almost immediately.

I spoke to Singtel and they told me it's common as the 5G network might not be stable in my area and the phone is looking for a stronger network.

I thought that if 5G connection weak, the phone will just use 4G seamlessly without disconnecting from the network.

Can anyone on Singtel 5G share your experience, pls. This issue has been bugging me for the last 2 weeks.

Hello! I am a StarHub for many years looking to see if Singtel is worth its premium pricing as compared to M1 and StarHub. Do you encounter slow internet speed in parts of the North South line tunnel when using a recent iPhone?
Do you all encounter no internet for awhile when the iPhone is switching from 4G to 5G?

That might explain why once in a while my M1 5G + SingTel/StarHub 4G will lose signal for <1 min in unstable 5G areas.
Meanwhile if it’s on 4G + 4G mode, rarely happens.

iPhone 13 Pro Max here, with very similar situation as yours.

Are you able to connect to 5G SA? I used to have the problem, but it is solve after the singtel outrage that time. I am unable to connect to 5G SA. While it is trying to connect to 5G SA, i got “No Service” for a while before it drop to NSA.

Will Singtel network be much better than gomo? Thinking to switch from starhub to gomo or Singtel sim only but can't decide .Singtel sim only will have priority over gomo?
