Smart items provided are ipcam, washing machine, aircon, doorlock and 1 speaker. The rest are optional top-up items.

I find the welcome message annoying, imagine in the middle of the night u come back home and forgot to disable the message, the whole family will be waken up. Washing machine also no point if nobody at home to put laundry in and hang it after washing. Smart lock I dunno how secure it is.

Ipcam and aircon should be the useful devices provided but I can do without remote aircon control and I can link ipcam myself.

Hmm... most likely will opt out of the smart and diy. Cost less and no yearly maintenance fee.

Why is there a need for yearly maintenance fee? All the smart items are setup once and forget. I would presume they are using the SmartThings app to control all the devices.

I have no idea of the purpose of yearly maintenance for smart too. Only know 1st year is waived and absorbed by QJ.

Yes not sure why need annual fee?
Impressive but don't need.

So if don't take the smart item. The main door lock is still digital lock?

For the ip camera, is it only outside the door or whole house?

If the above 2 not included then nothing much already.
Open windows sensor is in but only 1 if I am not wrong.
ip camera only 2. 1 at outside door, the other is in the house.
Anyway wait for the list from your agent if interested.
Too bad cannot only pick what you like so I unlikely to get if I buy an unit.

Depend on the price but looking at 3 bedroom not near the substation and entrance.

Near entrance still fine as high floor got unblock view over Canberra residence and Away from mrt track. I agree will skip the stacks near substation.

If we chose not to have the Smart Features, does it mean we will not have airconditioner or the washing machine? Can we choose the items we want?

Was relatively keen but after seeing the smart home features, interest level dropped few notches. Firstly, it wasn't clear what was included and what was not. My demo group constantly had to ask 'is this included?' And most of it just seemed... unpractical to have. I'm wondering how much the yearly maintenance would cost. Can't help but think a good sum of money went into the the enablement of these technology.

According to my agent, if opt out smart, QJ will replace the aircon and washer with another model without wifi function.

My current washing machine is samsung and pretty much a reliable workhorse for me so I don't mind. For Samsung aircon with virus doctor (ioniser), never use before so no comment. But ioniser should come in handy during hazy days to clean the air slightly.

Hi all, what do you guys think of a flat on a high floor (7 or 8) but facing the electrical substation and bin centre - i. e. Blk 7, 8 or 10?

Would the proximity to the substation and bin centre still be an issue?

Which block and unit?
Depend on the view too. Some believe if direct facing the bin and substation is bad fengshui.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, pretty worried about bad fengshui too. But if it's on a high floor then unless we look down, we won't technically be facing the substation? Does it work that way?

What about if the unit is adjacent to the substation like blk 8?

u may wanna consider higher floor units if facing the substation. will advise u to go for stacks 7 & 8 rather than stacks 9 & 10 if given a choice.
