I think it depends on what u want. If it's for own stay I would say go for it. Doesn't matter why it's unpopular, as long as u like it.

Personally, I feel that stack 64 C6 might defeat the purpose of having two balconies because there's not much greenery to see below. Stack 8 C5 is near the entrance so might be noisy. But if u choose high floor for both stacks shld be quite ok! The only drawback might be further away from MRT?

Thanks for all the feedback, really appreciate it. I will certainly be taking highest floor possible for both stacks. And for stack 8 noise, I don't think it will be an issue as cars will drive directly to carpark and not hang around. As for stack 64, it's cuz of the better psf price and feel it's abit more value. Yes the west sun might heat up the mbr and that's one thing that might swing my decision as well.

Any idea if we take the Mrt past the site, we will have a rough idea of the view we will get?

Cars will stop at the guard house for security check. The engine rattling sound. Something to consider too.
TBH, I've considered all the units u r considering. I guessed u can deduce which I've chosen. :p

Hi, to those keen in Visionaire
I am staying in 4A HDB 1109 SQ FT. Am keen on Visionaire due to its location as near to upcoming Canberra stn which join NS line. But some posts mentioned it is ulu as in middle of nowhere. But i find its connectivity better than some north east estates which take longer time to reach orchard / raffles places than Visionaire. But sometimes i also think it doesn't make sense to stay EC/PC unless one can afford it comfortably and nowadays the quality of HDB is also very high. Now looking at the available stack and i think only c5 or c6 is within my budget. Any advice on stack 16, 17 & 21. Stack 16 below like have generator and electrical substation but has some slanted unblock view. Stack 21 too close to MRT track but the noise is not that terrible ( i went to site to check). But all 3 are quite close to the Brownstone EC like 13-16 metres.
16 is ard 30m from bs. 17 overlooks the bs club house. 21 left low floor and nearer to mrt.
U can go to the site to see the dist. Stack 16 and 17 are up. Not sure for 21.
16 is behind/on top the pump room. The generator is a small building beside that. Go to the architectural model in the showroom to see. The site plan in e brochure is wrong.
I'd parked next to a condo pump room before. With windows up, u can hardly hear a thing. So choosing high floor is safe.
Furthermore stack 16 is one of the cheaper stacks. :p

I think u can see a bit of the view if u take the MRT, but can't see too clearly coz it just passed by briefly. Personally I think stack 8 is a better choice because of the view. U can always visit the site to decide again because they have already built stack 64!

Now visionaire area is ulu but many new developments r coming up so I think it's worth to buy! If u prefer to have buy high floor with slight view then stack 16/ 17 is ok. If u r buying lower floor 21 might be better.

I was initially looking at stack 21 because it's furthest distance from brownstone and there's a mini garden below. Since I was considering mid low level it was a good choice for me. But I decided to go with the stacks facing the hill in the end because I don't really want to face another development. So it's really all up to ur own preference? List down the pros and cons so u can decided better.

It really depends on what you consider to be 'ulu'. I used to stay in the East, and now have been staying in Woodlands for 11 years. For the sake of comparison, it feels a lot more peaceful and less hectic around here. In addition, the area around Sembawang Shopping Centre (which is behind Visionaire) is a large cluster of private (landed) homes, which adds to both the 'atas' and serene feeling. Naturally, when Canberra BTOs and the sports hub come up the area will be busier, but it will still retain some of its private home feel compared to the other ECs which are typically located near HDB clusters.

In short, I'm so used to living in the Far North that it no longer feels 'ulu'.

Mai Tu Leow... :s12:
why wait? tan gu gu until your preferred unit kena book u will regret.

Brownstone my 1st choice but i wait & wait.. wait Visionaire up hope BS price may drop, wait this wait that... wait until left 3BR small units, no yard & utility room.. :(

so now got chance to chose units of another project that is 500m-800m to future Canberra MRT & shopping malls, this time i don't tu leow....

Visionaire (atas name :p) & future development around TOP time.. everything will be in place.. where got ulu?? Many BTO there also TOP late 2018 & 2019 together with the MRT...

Since Jurong will be next CBD, then Canberra is centre of Jurong & Raffles Place, so i see its another "central" like Toa Payoh & Bishan... ;)
btw, Singaporean like to go JB rite?
Or when u very sian in SG... can take your passport, take a bus to Woodland/ Kranji & go JB.. or drive to custom.. its so near.. LOL.

still need to think? :s13:

(PS: nothing to do.. write something to clock my post.. =P)

I share the same view as u as i believe once the surrounding amenities ( MRT , SPORTS hub, even a hawker centre) and Simpang HDB are up next few years, the place will be totally different from today.

If 30m distance that's quite good already.

Think of which stack lor😄😄😄

Lol.. so simple...

1) Face forest & road (west sun if u ok)
2) Face BS neighbours or
3) Face V neighbours (inward)

There is no "full" proof decision.. as everyone will have different preference.
The more u ask, the more u confuse.

All facing sure got pros & cons, so dun weigh too much or u will overflow info still cant make yr final decision.

As for entry price, psf cost different etc... I dun care.
Standard 3rm 800k-900k, 4br 900k-1mio.

As long u like the location, unit, level, juz go ahead book it & dun look back.

Good luck chosing yr unit bro!
Welcome to V resident soon.... :)

Btw west sun sure have.

I saw hdb blocks, both distance is about 40m, in between centre is a single lane road divider & i still see sun light shine on level one all the way up.

Mainly bcos the sun is up high on top... So west sun sure cannot run away de... if really dun wan sun have to face inward lor...

If got sun, dry clothes, no sun, air clothes lor. :)

How come no one talking about,

BS TOP date is Jan2019
V TOP date is Oct2018(OTP latest Mar2019)

As compared, BS build faster than V now but TOP later?

If those who went to site before, wil notice BS is build like lego style compare V.. maybe thats one of reason its faster beside they start construction first :p
