Thanks usually for physical sim port in, in recent years I’ll pop it in spare phone to avoid this issue. Until it’s fully ported. Then I pop the sim into my main phone.On hindsight you should have only installed the eSIM only after your old SIM card has no network (indicating that port over is completed), similar like how you should not insert your new SIM card before your old SIM card has no network, so as to avoid issues with temporary number affecting iMessage/FaceTime.
Anyway since you already have the issue due to premature install of eSIM, you may want to try this to see if it resolves the issue.

as per to Vivifi’s faq instructions here . I got to activate the Sim or esim before MNP(mobile number porting). Hence I’m caught in such situation.
